Goring Woman/\/\The Poem
I allowed a woman
To destroy me
Every fiber of my being
I gave it all I could
Until I could bleed no more
A lifeless shall of a man
Is all that I am
I've endured great hardships
But I've met my match.
Like a leech
She
Had latched on and sucked the life right
Out of me
As contagious as she was
I gained nothing
No pleasure
No peace
Or even serenity.
Her bogus mind
Shifted me
And my strong mind and will
Finally shattered
And when they break you
They wipe their lips
With a silk napkin
Concealing their fangs
All the while
Smirking with great pleasure
But still ever so ungrateful
Because even after devouring
Your soul
They still want more.
I hear by cut it off
Even as a dead man
Though hollow
I must find a new path
A new journey
