I know you're probably busy but if you have time could you so some headcanons for James, please?
When MC walks past James and he’s too occupied with writing, he will still take a peek and look at the view. Two seconds won’t hurt him right?
[licks lower lip]
He always has this small smile on his face when he looks up and sees MC on the other side of the table doing their homework. His baby is working on their dreams and just look at them go?! Being proud is an understatement.
He thinks his lover is just too adorable to not smile at.
James has the worst dad jokes of the century, MC just kinda learned to accept that his dad jokes are a part of him. In one ear and out the other.
He uses a lot of big words which earns him a blank expression from everyone in the group.
He talks a lot with Zig, because they both could hold a ‘intellectual’ conversation.
“You want coffee?”
He takes his work seriously so he appreciates it when MC sneaks behind him and gives him a massage. He leans into their touch and right before they’re done, he grabs their hands and kisses the palm of it.
He caught MC wearing his glasses once and he just had to take a picture, but told them to remove it soon after because he doesn’t want MC to get a headache.
He likes to take things slow because he can’t help but think MC is a work of art when they’re undressed and looking at him like that.

James wrote an article for the school newspaper regarding ‘the symptoms of falling in love and its correlation to success’ and he low-key dedicated it to MC because every since MC arrived in his life - he seemed to be more motivated than ever.
“You’ll always be the only lover in my story that ever mattered. I hope you know that.”
He has a tendency to pick at his lips when he’s thinking of the next scene he wants to write about.
James just loves to take MC out on ‘spur of the moment’ dates. He’s more of a planner but when he sees something happening in the community like a festival, he just has to take MC out. He picks them up from their seat much to their protest.
MC and him typically just sit on the couch, his arm draped around their shoulder. They point out plot holes in movies and when they’re not watching a movie, they just sit there and enjoy each other’s company.
“Do you want tea instead?”
He tends to pick at his ear when he’s telling a white lie.
James will always help MC when it comes to their writing assignment and statistics homework.
“Heh. I’m good at math remember? Trust me”
He won’t ever tell anyone but when MC and him took a break, he couldn’t sleep for days. James cried even more when he saw their picture on his nightstand and they weren’t there besides him….
James won’t ever take MC for granted again.
“Hey, did you eat? I was worried. Baby, you need to eat okay? Do you want me to drop something off for you? No. No. I’m not doing anything important. Your health… it’s priceless” [he looks at the manuscript that’s due that night and casually closes his laptop]
