This challenge is interesting, though I don’t think my style changed all that much in the past years as I’m set in my ways, haha.

Rules:

Post two photos. One earlier gameplay photo (at the very latest would three months ago but preferably go even way back), and one of your most recent ones (within the past month).

The only restriction is they must be from the same game (so two TS2 photos, two TS3 photos, or two TS4 photos).

State when the photos were taken, and include a link the post itself if it’s still around.

Tag 5-10 people once you’re done.

So I’m going to bend the rules, since my posts are sporadic and I actually play a lot more than I post...!

This one is dated from November 2014

This is my first iteration of Ro’cio! At the time, she landed in Lucky Palms (because it’s definitely one of my favourite worlds).

She hasn’t changed all that much since that time, she now has more makeup, and I played a bit with her ears and nose since I accumulated more sliders.

Other than that, she looks quite the same, as I tend to stick with how my sims look once I consider them done...because I’m lazy, haha.

This one is a week old

I’d just sent my sim, Cora (the one in the green dress here), to University, when a meteor randomly landed on the Science building on her very first class.

Luckily, she decided to leave the building on her own.

However, at least 10 sims were reaped that day. Including one of Cora’s roommate...Everyone on campus was crying and had mood failures for several days after that...

I’m afraid no one is going to pass this term. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now, it was actually hard choosing a favourite sim. As I tend to rotate between saves, there are a few I really love.

In the end I chose Virgil Rocha.

1) At first, I never really intended to play with him as he was originally one of my test sims. As a matter of fact, he must be in all of my mods preview pictures or he’s the one I used behind the scenes.

2) He only got a name when I thought of using him as my founder for the 7 deadly sins challenge. Virgil’s name was inspired by the author of The Aeneid and Aeneas descent in the Underworld…Yeah, I’m so deep.

Before that, he was randomly named “Tremayne”.

3) I have mentioned it before, but he definitely is the most unlucky sim with the Lucky trait I’ve ever had. The first three days of gameplay, while he had the “Feeling Lucky” moodlet, he got the Tragic Clown curse from a LLAMA machine, got abducted not once, but twice and spawned a baby alien. My game must have crashed from all the bad luck, but he was still impregnated the next time, I played. Twice.

Needless to say, it did mess up with my idea of starting a challenge, but he became precious to me because of that.

4) Right now, he is single-handedly raising not one, nor two, but three alien children. I know! Aliens just love him. 👽

And unfortunately for the poor guy, I can’t seem to set him up with a partner that I find suitable. He may be destined to be alone forever. He’s a Hopeless romantic and I feel really, really bad.

Maybe I should just let him meet Ro’cio. XD

5) And even if he’s a Good sim at heart, he’s still Rebellious enough to work as an Art Appraiser.

And after all he went through, it’s not that surprising, he became a bit unhinged. ;p

Construction Worker

Our friend Richard here, became a site foreman after years of experience. He is skilled with a hammer and any tools he can get his hands on. He also use those skills in his free time as he is an amateur sculptor and he hunts for his raw material himself.

Years of manual labour has made him a bit sore. Or well, more than a bit.

He still enjoys his work. :)
