💬 EIGHTEEN (18) Deformer Maps that control the shape of our bodies were broken with Update 7/23/2024, resulting in our spines deforming horribly.

💬 All sims aged TEEN through ELDER are affected by this but you will only see it under certain circumstances:

The deformities are not visible when wearing Frame-appropriate clothing.

Cisframe sims will see it when wearing clothing that was made for the opposite Physical Frame.

Transframe sims will see it when nude or wearing "default" underwear and also when wearing clothing that was made for the opposite Physical Frame.

Only Detectives Get Cases

There's a really nice board that comes with the Get to Work detective career that has a really annoying side effect: it makes the game think you should have access to the police computers, wherever you are.

This mod adds a test so that the interactions are only available to sims in the detective career (because as far as I can tell, I can't limit it by lot. There's a bug report here, please vote if you find it annoying,

Scrap Apothecary Products after Active Work Days

This is a fix for your sim being unable to scrap Apothecary products if they started them and then got interrupted by going to an active work day (detective, reaper, etc.).

It overrides `ApothecaryCraftTable_DiscardElixir`and will conflict with any mod that also overrides it. I'm not aware of any.

It does not conflict with LittleMsSam's Small Apothecary Overhaul.

Mournful Melodies Music Box fix

OBSOLETE as of September 18, 2025. It was fixed in today's patch.

This is a tiny override, to fix the name and description for the Mournful Melodies Music Box from Life and Death. This fixes the bug where, if you're looking at any swatch except the first, instead of this, with a proper name and description:

You see this:

I gave it back its name and description. This will mark the music box as cc. If you want to share a lot cc-free, remove the file from your mods folder temporarily.

💬 I made TWO (2) BAND-AIDS for this. Read the Patreon posts for more information:

"AppearanceModifier" uses an "appearance_modifier" to force the current SimBust thumbnail to reset itself.

"NoTanOverlay" removes the tan overlay completely, which squashes the problem entirely.

🛠️ If your SimBust thumbnails are a complete mess, you should delete your "localthumbcache.package". That's where the thumbnails are saved and that's the workaround for this... that console simmers can't do. I can only do so much from this side of the fence.

👹 Sunbathing has been breaking our SimBusts since EP07 released on 6/21/2019. This "bug" is SIX (6) YEARS OLD and it has never been addressed. IT TOOK ME LESS THAN A DAY TO DO BOTH OF MY BAND-AIDS! What the actual !@#$?! "I'd hate to be a member of the Sims team and read all these negative comments [...]", I'd hate to be a member of the Sims team and not be able to fix these years-long bugs because EA insists on churning out new content constantly. I'd be like "Yeah, simmers be having a point with their criticisms. This is bullshit." LESS THAN ONE DAY!

👹 The Costume Box shipped with incompetent coding, locking some costumes to your Gender (Sex) or Clothing Preference. This is a problem for transframe sims and cisframe sims wanting to wear opposite frame costumes. This problem is exasperated by EAxis' continued use of improper Restrict Opposite Gender flags on TEEN+ clothing even after numerous Bug Reports.

Fixing the Costume Box does not fix the improper Restrict Opposite PartFlags on CAS items, which contributes to the incompetence of this thing. If you've got a transframe sim, you need this modfix + CAS Overrides for this to work properly. In the future I will include the necessary CAS Overrides and make this an all-in-one modfix.

Even with this update, there's still so much work to do to properly fix this travesty. "KEEP READING" to see more.
