Texture size

1024 and 2048 in the package name are the texture sizes (1024x1024 and 2048x2048, respectively). Choose what you like best: high-resolution textures or smaller package sizes and in-game performance.

It is worth noting that the difference in quality is imperceptible from a distance.

Additional packages

Andes, Kunlun, Sayan, Carpathians, and Altai ladders have two versions. The second version is short, so the animation looks weird.

If you want to remove the second version, you need to un-merge a package, follow this tutorial. Inside are two versions of packages and textures. Delete the second version and merge a package back, follow this tutorial (optional).

Allow Sims to use ladders while carrying items and make them climb faster.

This great little tuning mod allows Sims to use ladders while carrying small items (books, dishes, trash bags, etc.), climb up roughly 50% faster, and to always slide down ladders instead of climbing down.

Ok weird suggestion but EA should make a stuff pack of just requested use items charge the $10 for it and skip concept art/deco and just sell us an upright 1 tile ladder, a leaning 2 tile ladder, a fire pole, easy elevators, and a 2x2 spiral staircase object. That's it. I would pay for it and it would stop the waiting. They could call it Sims 4: Up and Down or smth I don't even care just give me them. Also a $10 city living add on world.
