El Sombrero Loco - Restaurant - Oasis Springs

I often use this lot to celebrate birthdays with many sims, in fact, in addition to the tables for 2 or 4, there is a private room with a large convivial table

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

The Cinco de Mayo celebrates the anniversary of Mexico’s victory in battle against the forces of Napoleon III of France on May 5, 1852.

In the United States, the day has also been adopted as one more occasion to have a party and today’s mini-set offers fiesta decor items commemorating the day.

The set includes papel picado (perforated or cut paper) banners in one tile or two tile lengths, fiesta party trays, and brightly colored flowers. The two-tile banners with words are in both Spanish and Simlish. Both banners feature the colors of Mexico’s flag among the swatches. 

Trays have six slots for small deco objects. I made some deco margaritas that are having weird lighting issues so they will have to be available later. In the meantime I have used @budgie2budgie deco glasses in the pictures.

The papel picado objects are very detailed and looked best in close up views. I hope you will enjoy them!

EQUIPALE SET REVISION AND UPDATE

This is a  revision of the Mexican equipale set uploaded ++here++ last August. There was a shine issue with the table that was bugging me and it is now fixed. Also, I finally added my dried flowers (see in trunk in photo above) to the set. You can use your alt key to place the flowers in the trunk where you like.

Download the new and improved version ++here++ (Sim File Share)*. The new .rar file has six package files.

Please be sure to remove your old files from the game. Look for tkangie Mexico, equipale, or AntiqueMexicanTrunk to find them. I hope you enjoy these new objects in your game. Remember, the Maxis shoe racks fit inside the trunk!

Credit to EA for the drastically modified TS2 dried herbs file used to make these flowers and to Sims 4 Studio, as always and with gratitude.

Hacienda Part 2 - I have been working on a larger set but I think it’s time to make a few decorative objects available. They include Oaxacan rabbit (conejo) and cat (gato) figurines, a basket of pine cones for a touch of autumn, and a decorative sombrero in six colors. You can easily find them by searching for tkangie_Hacienda in game. I hope you will enjoy them!

¡HACIENDA!

NOTE: Mirror file updated to work with the Toddler patch on 2/2/17. New file is downloadable at links given below.

While I love to decorate using black, white, gray and pastels, I live in a high plateau desert country and that means that sometimes I need color,....lots of color!

I have re-engineered some of my TS2 creations and added some new ones. I have more in WIP, but it will have to wait since I am leaving tomorrow to go on vacation. More info and download link after the cut.

So, this set offers: a wooden table and two chairs in two colors, hanging wall blankets, a hat rack with lariat and sombrero, stucco mirrors with tin decor, prickly pear cactus in a pot, wall candles in three colors, boots and spurs, clay pottery birds, canvas/leather decor bags, a round sheepskin rug and two striped 3x1 rugs, a black wrought iron desk chair and.....a  stucco wall that uses colors inspired by the architect Luis Barragan. Search in game for tkangie_Hacienda and you should find all of it easily.

Equipale!

Some clipping issues required a narrower table base, so I did that. Set includes equipale table and chair, antique Mexican trunk, Southwest pottery trio, and a little cactus arrangement.These are all mainly conversions from my TS2 days.

Additional info: the trunk is just large enough to hold the EA game shoe racks. 

Creative use of the bb.moveObjects on cheat and your 9, 0 and Alt keys mean you can clutter up this trunk as much as you like.
