So I can also definitely see Ford trying to take a shower after that first session. Partly to get clean partly to ahem. Remove the eggs. And at first Bill is content to chill but I can totally see the heat creeping back in after (his mate) Ford is away from (the nest) him too long so he goes to get him only to find him cruelly murdering their potential offspring!! And then Ford is just kinda caught in the shower without his taser by a very clingy triangle wailing at him for his betrayal and he's like "I have to kill myself..."

Speaking of unfortunate incidents in the hotel I didn't end up writing it bc god knows the fic is way long enough already but I also had the idea of Ford trying to sleep and Bill begging him not to. Kind of a reverse of their dynamic during the pre-portal betrayal era. Ford insists he'll be fine but if Bill wants he can leave and come back later while Ford sleeps.

Bill tries to insist this is a Bad Idea without overtly admiting his fears and does a bad job of it bit can't convince him. So he leaves, and Ford sleeps. And you already know how heat Bill was trying to feel Ford up in his sleep? Yeah. Now imagine nice cozy Fordsy in his soft little nest that smells like him and Bill and well. Let's just say Ford wakes up in another very awkward position.

It’s so interesting to me for Bill to be suddenly forced into the ‘completely out of it and totally emotionally vulnerable/open/adoring’ roll between him and Ford by something outside both of their control.

i know i love it! i still need to reread and like really hone in and tell jack about all the bits i adored, but ford basking in bill being tender and gentle and affectionate, and knowing bill would never show this side willingly, so feeling uncomfortable seeing it, but also wanting it too. really fucking good
