How Do You Create A New Object Color In TSR Workshop?
Just this simple question was so hard for me to solve, and I’m betting a lot of other modders were asking the same thing. The scant documentation provided by the creators didn’t help. But I’ve now found out how, and it’s pretty easy. Here’s what you do:
1. When your project is opened in TSRW, make sure you have the Project tab open on the right hand side of the screen.
2. Directly under that tab you’ll see a dropdown list with a long string, in my case its CCOL - 0x120293D25786075A. I think you can only ever clone 1 color from a Sims 4 object, so this dropdown list will only have 1 item in it.
To the right of that dropdown is a icon that looks like a piece of paper. Click it.
3. A popup window will appear, asking you "Enter the ID of the new object.” So input a name. I don’t know if certain names are better than others.
3. Click Ok. This will create a new entry in the dropdown list. A new recolor! The entry will be opened immediately (after a few seconds lag if your computer is anything like mine.
So then you can just go to the Materials tab and start importing new colors.
I hope this is helpful!
