cool musical details that i noticed/were pointed out to me in EPIC: the musical
in no particular order 1 - the main melody of monster is actually kinda from open arms? like when polites says 'i can tell you're getting nervous, so do yourself a service' it's. the same that probably has some thematic relevance 2 - again, in monster(can you tell i really like monster?) he gets the chorus/crowd vocals the non-humans get (Tiresias, Poseidon, polyphemus, etc.) and it starts like. just before the big 'THEN ILL BECOME THE MONSTER' section(again probably some thematic thing to find there but idk)
3 - in wyfilwma when he sings 'left a trail of red on every island' the melody from ruthlessness plays on trumpet
4 - in hold them down jorge is in the crowd vocals so like. Odysseus is there kinda singing with them or smth ig idk
