Armin: Well… It was kind of a spur of the moment thing, but Levi vowed to take me to the ocean. And I vowed to make sure he wouldn’t feel the pain of losing anyone… for I would be there constantly for him. 

Levi: Armin… you live through your promise everyday. I, however, have barely made progress on my own…

Armin: … I understand though. While mine is a past, present, and future goal, yours is more so one that focuses completely on the future. Knowing that I’ll see it one day with you, makes everything worth it. I may not be there right now, and may not for a long time, but knowing you’re here with me helps a lot. Also, it’s nice to see your face light up in a similar, yet different way than mine when I ramble on and on about the ocean.
