“hey, doesn’t that one kinda look like a dinosaur?” you ask, staring at the fluffy white cloud floating above you.
tsukishima looks up in the same direction as you, lips pulling down to a frown. “what are you talking about?”
“that cloud.” truthfully, it didn’t look like anything but a shapeless blob, but it fulfilled its purpose: grabbing his attention. you smile to yourself. you can always count on kei to turn at the mention of dinosaurs.

you roll your eyes, going to take another bite of the strawberry shortcake in front of you. it’s a sweetness that you’ve been craving for a while. it feels ironic that he loves these so much, but you find that it fits him perfectly. you think it balances out his snarky attitude.
“are you gonna finish that, kei?” you point to his slice with your index finger.
he turns away from you. the corners of his lips curl downward slightly. “yes.”
you smile, looking back at the cloud. it’s a nice day.
