ok my personal v3 headcanon is that tsumugi wasn't really the mastermind in that she didn't write out the script or plan anything and she didn't work for team danganronpa. she was one of the two survivors from danganronpa 52 and when she and rantaro were given new memories she was made the mastermind. but her real involvement is the same as everyone else's: signing up for danganronpa in the first place. i think she was just made into the mastermind because really how would a teenager get enough say in danganronpa to be allowed to write and direct everything, and decide the entire season out?
