Thinking of Emperor husband and how he'd sooner wipe out the countries and kingdoms than have your harem grow....
Like you get a treaty if you marry a prince or princess and when the Emperor hears about it he's on his knees kissing the end of his the Empress' skirt/pants leg...
Begging you to just send him out to wipe the other kingdom out for daring to treat you like some lowly queen instead of the Empress no GODDESS you are!...
The intrigue turned into amusement at the young man's attempts for her attention. He did anything to catch her eye. Did anything she asked as soon as she asked it. The princess wondered how far he would go for her.
Allarick felt at peace with her. He wanted to be around her constantly. Acting as if there was a collar on him with a leash that the princess would hold. He thought of how beautiful she would look on that throne instead of her annoying father. Oh if she gave the word he would put her on that pretty seat and never let anyone else take it from her. Give her a true physical leash to bind them together.
It started with seeing each other at the balls and galas that the Emperor would hold for various occasions. He followed the breathtaking princess to the food tables and filled her plate with things she seemed to enjoy. Once when she dropped a piece of cookie and got an idea.
"Allarick.. since you got this cookie for me it would seem like such a waste to throw it away." She turned her gaze towards the man. He froze, he didn't expect to hear his name from her lips, even though his name is actually Allerick. He made a note to change his name after this gala. "Why don't you eat it? "
"My lovely lady it would be my honor please allow me too." He responded without hesitation. Got on his hands and knees to pick it up off the ground and eat the precious treat his beloved had given him. He hasn't done anything yet and she has rewarded him with the cookie she had taken a bite of. How lucky he was tonight!
The princess looked taken aback. She expected him to grow red in the face out of anger not adoration. She wanted to rid this man from wanting the emperor position. However... maybe him being her lap dog could be better than any "husband" her father tried to pair her with. "good boy." she handed him a paper handkerchief with writing on it. Only to leave for her room.
His whole body shuddered at the name she called him. He is a good boy for her... only her. He opened the handkerchief.
'I'll Leave My Window Unlocked Tonight After This Gala.'
A head cannon/scenario about the empress having an emperor Husband.
This will have the concubines mentions of war, blood, gore, yandere themes, stalking, mentions of past torture, no pain is towards the empress.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The beautiful lady sat at the top of her throne looking down at the guards in boredom. The last she had heard from her army was of their victory in the final battle. The land is rich in metal ore and nutrient farmland.
The throne that once sat next to the lady was gone from its intended place. Now it sat in a study collecting dust and spider webs. She glanced at her right, where it used to be, and sighed heavily. Hopefully that person could bring some stories of the battle with him.
Gerald a trusted butler of the palace came bursting through the doors of her thrown room. His appearance is all in disarray, everything out of place.
"Your Majesty, sorry for my rude arrival." He paused having to catch his breath. "The Emperor is here a week before schedule!!!"
If anyone else has heard the words leave the man's mouth they'd be shocked to hear them. Alas the Empress knew that her husband wouldn't dare come home as soon as he had the chance too.
"Let him in then." A simple instruction was given. As if waiting on the other side of the door another man slammed the doors open after the last word left her lips. A broad shouldered man stood at the entrance with a large smile on his face.
He walked briskly towards his one target in that room. The empress raised her brow at his appearance. The man was covered with blood, from slaying the pigs of the fallen kingdom's men he had just conquered.
"Oh my love, it has been too long. I have missed you so much my dear. I can't wait to have you in my arms once again my darling wife." He speaks to her in a soft and excited manner. The lady holds her hand up in front of her, stopping him from coming closer.
"Clean yourself and then maybe I'll consider being in your arms." At her voice a shiver runs up his spine, oh how he's missed this.......
Allarick stood next to the General of the kingdom. Impatiently waiting for the letter from his Empress to finally come home. Nobody could be in the same room as the man. The temperature dropping every second the impatient man had to wait. Allarick thought of all the ways that those men his beloved called concubines stuck to her. It made him seethe with rage.
A messenger finally walked into the large tent. All eyes went to the fearful man. A glare was thrown at him to hurry towards the Emperor. The General couldn't stand the impatience anymore after dealing with it for months now. As soon as the piece of paper was in the Emperor's hand the messenger was shoved away.
Hastily opening the precious ribbon the Emperor read the contents. He was allowed to come back home to his Empress! Finally! The delicate way the cursive letters where written on the paper made his heart race. He turned towards his General with a large smile on his face.
"Get my horse ready." The Emperor demanded with a cold voice. The fastest horse was saddled quickly for him to race back home.
The Empress was walking in the garden to clear her mind. The 2 letters that were sent out weigh heavy in her mind. The Emperor is coming back home to the palace, to their room. However, the neighboring kingdom is wanting to sell one of their princes for peace. It was hard enough to convince the devoted man to let the two concubines stay, how would he feel about this one.
Alun saw the scrunch in his Empress' face as the deep thoughts showed on the adorable face he loves. He wished to relieve the thoughts clouding that intelligent mind. His little sister- er.. The Empress waved him over to sit down with her. Alun rushed over quickly.
"Alun be on high alert. These next few days will be hectic, even with the concubines in confinement." The Empress voice was always soft and clear when talking with him. Alun acknowledged her orders as he bowed his head until the Empress said to left his head. He prepared for the return of the emperor.
The General was astonished at the speed they got back to the outer palace. A week long ride finished in 4 days coming back before the Baiseth Day. A day for relaxation and recovery. The horses collapsed as soon as the weight was off. The Emperor paid no mind to the animals as he stormed off towards the palace gates.
Emperor husband hcs with an empress that is loyal to him. No concubines, nothing. She waits for him every time no matter how frustrated she can get or how sad and lonely. She’s holding it down for her bae.
I did think of this at first, but then in those days it was meant to uphold peace treaties. Plus the emperor would sooner kill everyone than have a peace treaty like that.
I didn't know if you also meant to leave Alun out so I did just incase, even though he is platonic.
No Concubine AU / Empress & Emperor Backstory
I finally got a break from work T.T
A crown prince was meant to be born, the oldest of the Emperor's children. However the Empress at the time gave birth to a princess, she never hated her daughter for being born. The Emperor was conflicted, every generation had made the first born the next ruler. To the ancestors it didn't matter if they were male, female, or both. As long as they were first born they would succeed the throne.
Even though the empress' uterus was torn the emperor refused to have a concubine to try for a child. Medical practice in that time dictated the mother may likely die if another child is born.
As the Princess grew she realized everyone around her gave her half-assed advice. Her tutor the Emperor hired was telling her how to act like an obedient spouse and listen to the person she marries in the future. The Princess was very stubborn in her ways. she didn't want to have to listen to anyone boss her around.
Her mother the empress loved her dearly and taught her what she knew about ruling. Showed the growing princess what the advisers really think about the emperor. The girl learned what to say to have people be on her side, how to tell when they are not her people, and when the empire is under an empress the change in attitude.
When the emperor had other meetings or important things to do the empress and princess over saw the castle. During on of the princess' first meetings with the emperor's advisers they constantly disregarded her opinions believing she wouldn't succeed the throne. The empress taught her how to handle situations like this for when she couldn't be there.
The teenage princess saw the disgusting looks in their eyes when they would look at her mother. it was revolting, they believed they could get away with anything while the emperor wasn't there. The more she watched from the sidelines with her mother the more the princess learned.
The coming of age ceremony was coming up for the princess. The emperor invited princes from all over to marry her so the husband can take the throne. She could already hear the insincere compliments and flattery. The Princess wore a beautiful dress at her mother's request.
The princess entered the ball room. The guards looking her up and down. Glaring as she passed by them she made her way towards her mother. The princess greeted her mother and the emperor politely, he smiled wide as she bowed towards him. The emperor pointed to a young man beside him. He froze the princess was beautiful... the man bowed to her.
She rolled her eyes at him, first time meeting and he's already drooling over the position of emperor. (he isn't, it's all for her and those sharp eyes)
The princess walked away shortly after to get out of the spot light for a bit. The night time breeze sounded wonderful. However the Emperor locked all the windows and doors to make sure she didn't try to escape.
The best choice in all of the ball room was the table filled with food. She sat in silence for a while until a man came up to her. At first the princess ignored him hoping he would go away if she didn't listen.
He didn't leave, he stayed there staring at her in perverse ways and talking in a flirty tone. She felt disgusted, the princess began to walk away from him. The man grabbed her arm asking.
"Where are you going pretty doll?"
Pretty DOLL?!? her blood boiled at the name. A butter knife laying on the table next to her. The princess held a tight grip on it.
The man from before walked towards the two people. Hoping to protect her from the man, he was too late. A scene where he would never get out of his head was in front of him, the most beautiful person in the world standing over a fallen man with a knife to his throat. The amazing woman drew blood from that horrid man.
Falling deeper into the abyss of obsession and twisted love the young man helped the princess off the horrid thing. He introduced himself as Allerick, admiration in his eyes.
She saw the emotions pouring over him. The affection in his eyes and on his face is clear as day. It intrigued her immensely.
Dominic woke up to the empty bed of the Empress. The bed was still warm on her side, meaning she couldn’t have gone far. Dominic played with the blood red leather collar around his neck. The panic of not being able to see his empress makes him aggressive and on edge. He finally had the strength to get up off the silk bed sheets, his knees almost giving out on him. Last night was amazing! Of course it was! He spent it with his Empress!
The thought of it making his mood so much better than before and walked to the bathroom door on the west side of the room. Dominic knocked on the door and stayed leaning against it for a while waiting for a response.
“Yes, you can come in Domi.” The sweet, irresistible voice of his empress called out to him. Her nickname for him gave him shivers down his spine. He opened the door after the chills calmed down and the bumps on his tanned skin went away. The sight before him made his eyes wide and jaw drop. Drool leaked out of his mouth. There in all her beauty stood the Empress with a bathrobe on fresh out of the bath.
The Empress looked at the reaction he had to seeing her in such atire, it amused her greatly. She let a small smile grace her beautiful face and Dominic practically melted. Knees growing weak and brain turning to mush, she smiled at him after all, which is already a rare occurrence.
She walked past him with ease and elegance, headed for the walk-in closet next to the bathroom. Dominic followed her like a puppy following its master. A door shut in his face by the Empress herself, wanting to change without prying eyes. He felt hurt, but knew she likes the privacy she so rarely has.
Suddenly the main door slammed open by a guard needing to speak to the empress about a letter that came from the Kingdom of Zandonia. Curious, Dominic went over to the guard to see what it said.
“Sorry Sir Dominic, this is for the Empress’ eyes only.” The captain of the guard stated to him while holding the precious parchment away from Dominic’s desperate hands.
“Give it to me Alun!” Dominic said in a feeble attempt to persuade the man to give him the letter. In response, Alun just simply held it above his reach. Contradicting his name Alun, meaning little, he is the largest man in the palace. Alun heard the click of heels before Dominic could. He straightened up his back and stood at full attention.
The Empress came out of the closet wearing a simple but regal, deep blue dress. Walking to where the two men were, she took the parchment out of Alun’s hand and read it. Her eyebrows creasing in thought, deciding what to do next with the offer she just received.
“Your Majesty,
Greetings from the Kingdom of Zandonia. I, King Afonso Amos , wish to offer my son, Prince Thiago Amos, to you as a consort or concubine of your choosing. I offer you my son in exchange of peace and a treaty between us. A war not fought is the greatest kind.
Part 2
The two men glared at each other as they locked eyes. Dominic held a slight growl to his voice. “You, me, Courtyard, when the sun is at its highest.” Dominic walked away, not waiting for a reply. Izacc stood there still glaring at him, ‘Mutt, this is your fault. Not mine. But very well, whomever wins gets the empress to himself.’ He stalked off to his own room.
Alun walked away from the corner when he heard the men go into their rooms. Thankfully, the concubines didn’t stall any longer than they had. Of course, he had heard the threating tones and razor sharp words that were being shared between the two men, however… the empress doesn’t have to know just yet. Dominic and Izacc need to be taught a lesson, after all.
Dominic was in the Courtyard before the sun was at its peak, hoping that he could plan to win in peace. When the idea of tripping him came to mind, he picked up some random objects that were laid across the courtyard after a training session with the top guards. It was a hot, humid, horrid day. Sweat was dripping off of him as if he were a leaking water pump.
Dominic’s fingers touched the metal piece of equipment to move it. The heat made it unbearable to touch, burning his hand. But this is more than fine. A little heat is just what he needed to get his blood pumping. Izacc entered through the large, heavy doors opposite to where Dominic stood. Neither of the men were smiling. Domi goes to grab the sword laying on the ground. Zacc had his on his hip, always prepared to protect his empress.
The first clash of metal rang hard and shrill in Alun’s ear as he watched, curiously devious as the empress’ pets fought like cats and dogs down in the courtyard. He stood in watched, enjoying the breeze that floated near the balcony he was standing on, watching with little interest as blood spilled below him.
After an hour of waiting for something interesting to happen between the two. Alun left to inform the empress on what he “stumbled upon” leaving out that he watched them for a while. He turned to leave and closed the door, still hearing the clashing of sword and shouting that the men were doing.
At a quick pace, he raced to the Empress’ room, where she sat drinking some herbal tea to calm herself from the letter she had received later that day.
“Empress, Izacc and Dominic, they are in the courtyard!” Alun said, as he burst through the door. The Empress pulled the curtains away from her window. What she saw angered her.
“Stop them. Bring them to the throne room.” She said it with such a cold tone, Alun shivered. The punishment must be great if you’re sending them to the throne room. Alun then walked away from her room. She was still looking out her window, seeing her beloved concubines fighting like rapid animals. She glanced at the letter she hadn’t finished writing.
“King Afonso Amos of Zandonia,
The offer you purposed would be beneficial to both of us. An alliance between two great monarchs. A wise decision on your part to offer it. Already better than over half of the allies I have.”
The Empress picked up the quill and the parchment and began to write.
“I accept the proposal between me and your son, Thiago Amos. He is to be my concubine in a week’s time.”
Part 1
“Your Majesty,
Greetings from the Kingdom of Zandonia. I, King Afonso Amos , wish to offer my son, Prince Thiago Amos, to you as a consort or concubine of your choosing. I offer you my son in exchange of peace and a treaty between us. A war not fought is the greatest kind.
Long live the Empress- King Afonso Amos”
The Empress released a breath after reading through the letter at least 3 times. She wanted peace between the Kingdom of Zandonia and the Masal Empire. However, the concubines she already has would probably seek to destroy the prince if given the title of consort. The empress thought over her response carefully, for now she will leave this for when she comes back from seeing her other second concubine.
She looked up from the letter and saw Alun standing there holding back Dominic from running to her and ripping up the parchment in her hands. It was taking up all her attention, and he wanted all of her attention. Dominic already had to share with… him. The Empress took the paper and held it to the lit candle and let it burn to a crisp. Alun let go of the Main Concubine. Dominic instantly latched onto the empress’ dress in a desperate attempt to bring her close and make her focus on him.
“My empress!” Dominic cried as he saw her dress rippled as she turned. “You can’t leave me here! Shouldn’t you take care of me more? Besides, that guard can wait, after all, I love you the most between the two of us!”
The Empress gently held his cheek with one hand as the other hand waved Alun away to get Izacc behind her back. With Dominic melting at her touch, he hadn’t noticed her dismiss Alun. She heard the grand door of her room close softly, alerting her that Alun had left. When she had finally taken her hand away from his nuzzling to run her fingers through her loyal hounds’ hair, did he notice Alun’s disappearance.
Dominic was rather thankful the oaf of a man had left. Just more time alone with his one and only empress, as it should be. Not long after Alun had left, Dominic heard quick footsteps approach the door. He already knew who it was. A large scowled formed on his face as they drew closer and closer. “Domi be-” The regal empress was cut off by the door slamming open. Izacc rushing in from his room two doors down. A loud growl was released from Dominic’s throat as he bared his teeth at the male.
“Empress… I didn’t realize a stray had gotten in,” Izacc sent a glare Dominic’s way, “want me to rid you of this diseased pest?”
“Izacc. You know I detest the fighting between the people I cherish most.” The Empress said to the newly arrived male. That is not the nickname she gave him, that was his full name. He looked away from her, displeased with himself at how he acted in front of her.
He stood straight and saluted, something he did when he was punishing himself by distancing himself from the empress when he had displeased her.
“Is something the matter, my empress?” A formal question. One that was spoken with a tone a guard would use as respect to her.
“She burned a letter,” Dominic growled out, not wanting the two of them to interact with each other more than they already had. The Empress stopped running her fingers through Dominic’s hair and stood straight. She cleared her throat as he pouted at the loss of attention.
“The King of Zandonia sent me a letter.” She walked over to her chestnut writing desk. “As a peace treaty, he wishes for me to have his son as a concubine. Seeing you two argue this often, it might be good to have a buffer other than Alun. He has a job other than making sure you don’t kill each other.” The empress fingers gently moved the pieces of paper to pick it up. Dominic and Izacc tensed up at her words.
‘A third?!’ They thought at the same time. The two of them can’t handle sharing you with just them! How would a third man help?! No, not a man, a worthless insect. She wrote with a quill and the ink jar next to the large pile of documents of trade. A response to the King, no doubt.
The Empress stopped writing when the eyes that stared at her became too intense for her to think. She looked up at the two men. She could practically see the imaginary ears pop up at the attention she gave them. They looked hopeful, however if they are going to make things this uncomfortable she needs them out.
“Zacc, Domi, I need you to leave.” The empress now spoke in a strict tone, no room for argument. Both of the men glared at each other as they turned to leave. Blaming the other as the reason for making the empress want a third concubine.
A murderous look came across both of them as soon as they shut the door to their beloved empress bedroom.
