I need to go run an errand, but when I'm back home I will try to draw a bit... I'll be careful not to overdo it, but I've been clawing at the walls to draw aaaaaaaa.
I tried looking for some old art I made for this, but it appears to sadly be lost. TT-TT
I do have one thing I could share, though.
This is kinda old, so it'll probably get updated again lol.
↓ Lore Ramble below! ↓
But, this is Revana, the main protagonist. She's a florist who, up until recently, had a fairly normal life looking in, besides a fairly traumatic childhood experience. You see, despite living in a world where humans and monsters are the norm, you are either one or the other. You can't be both, or you shouldn't be able to be. But through an ancient family lineage, Revana is cursed with the ability to shapechange into a beastal form with a hunger for souls.
Caught in the middle of a divided world, Revana must find where they fit in it, and decide what and who they're willing to sacrifice to achieve it.
Revana and the rest of the known Souls live within the safety of Twin Cities. It's a large and well fordicated City; however, it is also highly overcrowded, forcing its two people, Humans and Monsters, to collide in increasingly turbulent disbutes. Tensions are on the rise, and a second war looms over the shoulders of Twin Cities' residents.
(oh look I found a very outdated screenshot)
The City has two main districts, Agricentral and Technocircuit. (These names are subject to change)
Agricentral (Central district. Main populated by monsters)
Agricentral is built around the Well of Tears, the last remaining source of natural magic in the known world. The monsters use their unique magical abilities to nourish the plants that keep the residents of Twin Cities fed. Without their work, the city would starve and die out, as there is nothing beyond the walls besides death and the unknown. The inner circle values nature and a closeness to the planet that was believed to have been severed during the First Great War. Thier hope is to one day revitalise the planet with the Well of Tears.
Agricentral is comprised of buildings with biophilic or more rustic upcyle designs. Plants are sacred here, destroying any beyond the intention of consumption or pruning to promote growth is considered a great insult to the planet. Because of this, you won't see many vehicles here beyond scooters or bikes. Most roads are over grown with natural walking paths formed through the generations of feet that walked there before.
Humans are largely unwelcome here. Only a select few are allowed to roam these streets free from harassment. Since the last great war, much of monsterkind has come to associate humanity with death and destruction. They fear that should they let Humans have free access to the Well of Tears, the very heart and lifeblood of the city, they'd kill them all.
Technocircuit (Outer Wall District. Mainly populated with humans)
Technocircuit circles Agricentral, with a thin sliver that cuts through and gives the outer district limited access to the Well of Tears. Humans have been busy building up the walls and defences around the well, visiously protective of its power, and tolerant of the Monsters that nature it and the City. Despite the barren and lifeless sandy fields and hills that surround them, something lurks in the vastness beyond the walls. It has been the outer wall's duty to protect the life within the city for generations. Without magic to do so, humanity has relied on its ever-increasing innovation of technology to do so. Building powerful weapons for protection from the unknown. Its other equally important task is producing the City's power.
Technocircuit is built up of large Powerhouse buildings that convert primarily solar and wind energy. Due to the importance of their turbines and solar panels, Technocircuit is a much cleaner and more orderly place. Overgrowth is a threat to the order of the city, and as such, is plucked and cleared. Any plant life that does manage to grow this far from the Well, must be contained to its designated area.
Due to Humanity winning the last great war, and them now holding a position of defence around Monster kind, many think themselves to be of a higher standing than their monstrous neighbors. While Monsters are not as strictly limited in the outer city as humans are in the inner, monsters that reside here are viewed as a lower class. Many monsters that reside here now do so because they, or a generation before them, sold thier family homes in the inner city to humans willing to pay a higher price just to get residence within the inner city.
I could say more, but I just realized this was getting very long, so I'll end the yap sess here for now. Feel free to ask me more questions about the world, story, or lore if you're interest though! I love talking about my projects :3
