Camp Boolieve - Episode 1 - Hunt 1 Synopsis
It's a beautiful summer day in the middle of Bum-Fuckin' Nowhere, Ohio. A trio of young adults arrive at a perfectly normal camp, each possessing their own reasons for accepting the role of Camp Counselor.
After checking in, they all decide to have a look around in order to familiarize themselves with the grounds. In doing so, they meet one of the other camp counselors, Michael, who offhandedly mentions that these grounds used to be haunted. Or cursed. Maybe both? But who knows for sure, right? Maybe it's all just one really bad joke, given that the owner and her husband really love horror movies. And that's all fine and dandy, except that one of the children, Caleb, also knows of this rumor and he isn't very good at telling jokes.
The first few days go by really well as they all start to settle in; the children are for the most part enjoying their activities, and the adults are getting acquainted with themselves.
It's on one particular evening that Sandy decides to have a movie night. She asks Willy, Rose, and Abel to help set up an old-school projector while the other camp counselors fetch the kids along with the snacks. Their movie of choice is The Swamp Thing, one of Richard's favorites. After Willy fidgets with the vintage machine and gets it up and running, the bad and really weird happens and they meet with a mysterious lady who lives in a weird reel. She grants them each a magical weapon, along with a word of warning. And... I'm sorry, did she say something about a demon?
