okay, i've watched the first two episodes of the thundermans undercover and now i need to go to sleep but first i need to share my thoughts!!
first off, i really love the concept - i was kind of curious as to why the thundertwins were bringing just chloe along on this big undercover mission but i think it's really sweet that they wanted her to have a chance to grow up as a normal kid. and i'm super glad chloe's getting a chance to shine with this show! she was so young when the original series aired that it's really cool to see her as more of a character of her own now rather than just the baby, and i'm super excited to see more of her development
max and phoebe's dynamic is soo back. i like how natural it still feels; my only gripe with this is i think they're kind of almost too similar to how they were as teenagers. it seems like their development is sliding backwards maturity wise, and i definitely didn't expect them to be like, perfect adults, but i think they are coming off as a little bit charicature-y of what they were in the og show, and they're definitely still making a lot of the same mistakes. but it's still really early on so i'm not upset about it rn! i think it definitely has the potential to do more with them and i hope it does
i also just really love the dynamic of them raising chloe...obviously i love the sibling dynamics with all my heart and since we didn't get a ton of stuff with them and chloe directly in the og show it's really fun to see them bonding
why is dr. colosso here...i thought i could be free........
i will say i am also a big fan of the episodic-with-overarching-season-plot format so i'm really looking forward to that. since they've stepped up their game with costumes/props/fight choreo i'm super hoping we get more fun action scenes like the one from the first ep!
i like that it's kept the same tone as the og show and feels like a natural progression. at first i thought it felt too recent for a reboot, but i honestly think it helps make it feel like a continuation rather than trying to come back to a story years and years later, and everyone slid really nicely back into their role which is always cool to see
costumes!!! i can't over how much of an upgrade they are. i literally love seeing them so much they are beautiful
reallyyy curious about if the show is going to do anything with phoebe and max's developments outside of raising chloe; like readjusting to trying to be normal, finding a life outside of crime fighting, building out their identities in secret shores, etc.
overall i really liked the first two eps and am definitely going to keep watching. it's super fun and sweet and feels very true to the series, but also seems like they might have the opportunity to do some fun and cool new things. i'm really excited to see where it goes and hope it does well!

I just had to. The truth untold, World Tour Love Yourself in Fukuoka Dome Japan.
This is one of the most beautiful performances of this song. The vocals. The emotions. Tae is just everything.
