YOU DID! I do have a few bits of it written, yes! It’s probably going to be my next project (though I can’t really tell when it’s going to be finished) <3 I had actually started to plan this chapter when I was hit with a cursed idea to write an Owen Tudor x Catherine of Valois story that set me off course for two months (oof)! Here’s the story, by the way, I published it a few days ago: Heart Harder Than Stone. It sets a different spin on their relationship (or rather looks at it from a different lens), so I had to try putting the idea to paper and see how it would turn out. Darling readers, please let me know in case you read it because I don’t know whether it’s good or bad ✨✨ Okay, short answer: yes! :) Thank you so much for letting me know your enthusiasm! I was curious now, how and when did you find yourself interested in the Tudors or at least Henry VII? I don't remember if you've answered this before

Hello, dear 🕊 No, I don’t think I’ve ever answered that. It’s actually something that began so gradually I hardly know how I came to be seen as an oddity in the eyes of some friends (“why do you have books about the Tudors?”/“why are you reading about Henry VII?”). I’m almost sure they consider it to be a lowbrow interest lol.

It actually started after I watched The White Queen back in 2014 and tried to read The Red Queen. I asked myself: they can’t possibly be all bad, can they? I started researching them, nothing serious. I wasn’t on tumblr around 2015-2016, but I came back in 2017, when a friend who had also watched TWQ said to me: “did you know they’re doing a sequel to The White Queen?”

By 2017 I already liked Henry VII and was a fan of his marriage with Elizabeth (I’ve always been too much of a fan of Romeo & Juliet and the idea of rival houses coming together to simply not be moved by their story 🌹) but I had a definitely clear memory of how terrible and disgusting Henry was in The Constant Princess, so I said to her: “Gregory hates Henry VII, there’s no way I’m watching that show.” Then she sent me three (3) pictures of Jacob Collins-Levy saying: “This is the actor playing Henry VII”. Me: “.... You know what? Maybe I can give it a shot!” ahh

In 2017 I went back to tumblr and coincidentally I found a whole community that also liked Henry and Elizabeth (love you all so much 💕), so what was an interest completely spiralled into one of my dearest hobbies <3

I don't know if EoY would have been so disapproving of marriage for love, given that his father also married with a low born noblewoman, presumily for love, she would perhaps understand her children. But not, of course, the way H8 treated their wives, especially Catherine. in my opinion of course.

See I disagree, while yes Elizabeth’s parents married for love there were also some practical reasons for Edward IV to marry Elizabeth Woodville. While Elizabeth Woodville’s father was lower nobility her mother was of very esteemed European nobility, and while yes Anne Boleyn’s mother was a daughter of the Duke of Norfolk it wasn’t the same as Jaquetta’s relations to many of the houses of Europe. 

Also, I don’t think Elizabeth would have been raised with the notion that marriages for love were a good thing. She was betrothed 4 times in her lives and they were all political alliances, she had been invested in Arthur’s marriage to Catherine of Aragon. Arrangements for her daughter's marriages also took place during her life which she couldn’t have been unaware of. In fact, she tried to arrange the marriage of the Spanish ambassador at one point. 

I think the sister who would have approved of Henry VIII’s marriages for love would have been Cecily who made similar matches. Elizabeth though seemed to be well aware that marriage was a political arrangement first most and one of happiness second. 

I don’t see her approving of setting aside Catherine of Aragon, thus angry a man who ruled half of Europe, and not forging an alliance else where in order to secure England’s another alliance. While I doubt she would have spoken out against her son publicly, I don’t think Elizabeth would have approved of this action.

Yaaaas, she totally started the fire in the wardrobe (in order to give Richard/Perkin a chance to escape, but he is like NAW I’M A YORK, THAT MEANS I AM MADE OF BLONDE HAIR AND BAD DECISIONS) and just stood there cold stone-faced like ...well like, I AM A YORK, THAT MEANS I AM MADE OF BLONDE HAIR AND BAD DECISIONS.

Hi, in the scene that Elizabeth and Cecily dance Henry's eyes stay in Elizabeth and they go to Cecily every time Elizabeth looks at him, only then to turn to Lizzie when she's not looking, it's just a few seconds, you could make a gif of this scene please? If you are taking any request of course.
