BEAST is a unique exploration into the world of the bizarre and the strange, the world of beasts and monsters.
Using the tufting technique of rug making, Rosie presents multi-coloured textile works specially created for the exhibition. The characters remind of scarecrows, evoke images of legendary and sometimes folklore creatures, and are a continuation of her existing body of work. Through these images, she makes us part of a journey, passing through biblical and mythical realities interwoven with femme fatale pop horror stylings.
Real or products of the imagination, eerie, feminized, yet familiar and close, they remind us of the world and its absent harmony in a soft and fluffy way.
