I’m going to change my name to TheUnicornIsAKilljoy because I feel like I’ve grown out of this name, and want all of my social media (bar twitter) to match
I think I worked out why I think that the MCR guys' solo stuff sounds a bit empty. It's because when you listen to an MCR song, it's barely ever just Gerard singing. There's never only one guitar playing. They all work together to make this full, raw sound. Frank has the rawness, but without Gerard's strength behind the vocals amd Ray to smooth the sound out it's scratchy and sounds autotuned. Ray has an amazing voice but without Gee or Frank to add an edge it sounds bland. Gerard has the strength and raw quality but without Frank's rough screamy voice and Ray to balance it, it sounds empty and plain. They work perfectly as a trio and still fine on their own, but it hasn't got that full sound that they have together. Also revisiting my point about the guitars, if you watch any of the 'guitar lessons with MCR' videos (I'll link to a playlist at the end of this post), you can see how perfectly Ray and Frank's styles fit together. They are both incredible guitarists in their own right, but together they're almost magical. Ray's technical, classic style and Frank's messy self-taught feel makes this amazing sound that can only be described as MCR. Add Mikey’s bass in there too and you have pure musical beauty. Hi... Quick reminder to drink plenty of water, take any meds you need to, complete any homework you have and take a little break if you've been on here for more than an hour. Oh, and to stay amazing, ily all \(^-^)/
I'd post this on Vent but I know the person who I want to see this wouldn't see it there. You know who you are. I know I'm too attached, I'm constantly asking myself if I'm too clingy. I know it's not good with your mental state being how it is, considering that I don't even know you irl. That day you just randomly asked to write with me, I was unknowingly about to lose my best internet pal and talking to you helped me take my mind off it. You say that I saved you that day when you saved me too. That attachment I had to my previous best internet pal transferred to you so, so quickly and at first I was scared. Now I'm not, I care about you and when I say that if anything ever happened to you I wouldn't be able to forgive myself, I mean it. Especially if I knew I could've done more to help. I love you, not in a romantic way like a certain other peep but in a platonic buddypalfren kinda way, and whatever you say or do will not stop that. You're amazing, and you can't see it, and that both kills me inside and (impossibly) makes you even more amazing. I'm not going to say you're perfect because of the connotations and fuck it, NO ONE IS PERFECT. But you're extraordinary in the best way and I love you for it. You've unknowingly been with me through some of my roughest times this past ~5 months and I've been there for you through some tough spots too. I want you to know that that support will never stop, I'll always be here for you. I mean it. This is so long and I knew I could've done it via Wattpad but it felt better to post it here. I love ya bud. Please don't ever leave me.
