Why do you judge what your body looks like?
Chubby arms?? They help for softening blows when you hit those sharp corners of things! You can squish the chub and feel your amazing blood coursing through your veins, keeping you alive!!
Thick thighs?? They call them thunder thighs for a reason, Thor would be so proud of you for them. They support you when you admit your feelings to someone or win a trophy or even when you are sad and you cry.
Tummy fat? My love, that is record storage of every time you shared a meal with someone you loved! Every Starbucks drink that brought you happiness! When you made your favorite food and enjoyed it!
Mi vida, you are a beautiful being, but this?? This is just your vessel!
Does your body show your favorite songs? Or how kind you are? Does it tell of your genius? Or how you are wise beyond your years?
Beautiful person, you cannot judge your vessel for how it appears when it has carried you through your hardest places.
It has picked you up when you fell down, and nurtured you when you were sick and wounded. It has been your support when you were alone and no one else was there.
When you look at the body of a warrior do you condemn the shape or form of them? Surely not! For they have been very brave and strong and they are more than just their appearance.
You cannot do the same to your body! You are a warrior. You have been very brave and strong, even when you shouldn’t have had to be.
You have fought battles, big and small. You have fought off things no one knew of. And for that I am proud of you.
