Commonly used aerospace engine components made from high nickel alloys
Aerospace is one of the challenging industrial sectors. With high difficult to machine materials, specification and constant time factors, production of aerospace components have several limitations however simultaneously, the production rates increase.
Our aim is to offer super alloys to produce typical components. We invest in the future of solutions and in the understanding of the industry that goes beyond the processing. Heanjia holds the expertise you require for challenging production, skills that put your success in focus.
Investment in the future
When the component costs several thousands, the production may take long time. We offer the alloys with ultimate rigidity and flexibility required to be used at high temperatures.
Turbine Disc
Commonly made from Inconel 718, these complex turned part generally feature profiled pockets with difficult clearance needs. The unique productive solutions are readily offered to deliver stable machining to the turbine disc feature. By selecting trochoidal turning for the roughing operation over the traditional ramping method, productivity can be enhanced with better security and tool life.
Perfectly made for those difficult to access grooves, perpendicularly angled inserts are introduced in different shapes, They do not need special tools.
Turbine Casing
Usually made from Inconel alloy, these challenging materials create problems, however not much in the turning operations, but specifically with the magnitude of milling required in producing this part and large magnitudes of material required to be eliminated. For successful application, careful process planning is needed. Unlike the traditionally optimized method with carbide, ceramic face milling runs at a speed of 1000 m/min, eliminating the same magnitude of metal however quite faster.
Fan skin
Machining of titanium is low, although unlike the nickel alloys, ceramic cannot be used. It creates challenges on productively removing material. Lowering the cutting temperature is the key. The major factors with enhanced programming are choice of insert shape and use of high pressure coolant. Circular inserts offer the excellent accessibility and productivity due to decreased entry angle and chip thickness. The programme comprises circular carbide inserts and stable grooves.
Spool
The challenging features of spool include deep internal chambers and external blade tulip grooves. A combination of engineered solutions and methodology with evaluated grades ensure the success. For the machining of deep internal chambers usually long, slender tools are needed. Challenges include potential to vibration and removal of chips from the groove. Components made from high strength nickel based alloys Inconel bars offer outstanding resistance to wear allowing for high depths of cuts to be made as compared to other ceramics. They allow long lengths of cut.
