HI RIKA omg... ok so for an english major im actually not a big reader LOL i <3 tv ... BUT i do have some favorite books... i luv "house of leaves" that book is soooo fun..... ppl on tumblr r always talking abt it i feel but it isnt overhyped if u like weird pretentious bullshit... LIKE some ppl think its rly dense and kinda silly and it is but i think its a lotta fun its like solving a puzzle

ALSO speaking of horror i love the hannibal lecter series but imo "red dragon" (the first one before silence of the lambs) is the best and WAYYY better than the rest. and tbh the ones after sotl arent rly worth reading lol...

"the good earth" is also like a fav of mine i reread it every year.... probably the best Books U Read In Highschool to me....

ummm i love literally everything by tove jansson ... obviously the moomins r awesome and all those books r awesome BUT she wrote some rly good non-moomin books aswell, "the summer book" is SOOO good its also very weird and unconventional and doesnt rly have a clear plot throughout but its very sad and sweet. but also u should read all the moomin books and comics.

speaking of comics !!! lynda barry is AWESOME i think u would like her .... she wrote a comic memoir(ish) called "one hundred demons" thats SOOO good u should check it out ...

i have some fav non-fiction books too... "things to make and do in the fourth dimension" is SUCH a fun an easy physics book its so great. theres activities in there.... and ofc "the pea and the sun" (the book) so awesome... (book abt me) (and abt math)
