Used my limited set of alcohol markers, plus biro pens, then a gel pen for the sparce highlights. I kinda wish I darkened his hair, but I didn't want to overwhelm the piece already from the lines on his tank top (ykwim)? And yikes... I guess the colour worked out in the end, but yikes...

Red's peaking out, because I watched III while drawing, only to realise he'd changed (subsequently changed references too). I mean, I first assumed his swear turned it black, but I'm sure it's black from the second reference.

It's Rambo! I really wanted to ink and watercolour this.... And then I remembered this is sketching paper and it (unfortunately) don't work like that. He looks quite scratchy because I intended to just draw him as a warm-up. And then I proceeded to spend most of my day slowly doodling, but it's fiiiiiiiiine. (😭 The Art Deadline™ isn't creeping up on me, wdym?)

A couple of days back after watching the second movie, I drew him as a warmup for capturing Arnold's likeness. I went a bit overboard lol! He's so fun to draw. I had some trouble with his glasses, I have since changed the shading (someone told me they looked like little goggles! I see it!), haven't taken another picture though so auagahfhgh.j.j.jjghjh....

Hey there. Here's my written live reactions to parts of Rambo: First Blood Part 2, because I have nobody else to tell and maybe someone might find joy in skim reading my first time reactions/observations. If you're like, why wasn't that commented on, it's probably because it's something I showed a visual expression, and not a verbal one in accordance with the sequence. I also, well, basically know nothing? I have nobody to talk to about the movies, so I'm taking it slow.

Trautman, I know Rambo's like, pretty fucking good, but are we ignoring the fact he cried on your shoulder while explaining what happened to his buddy in detail? Or maybe, I don't know, the trauma he faced?

Okay, so, I've seen a gif of where Rambo grabs the snake. But I had to pause for like 5 minutes to fucking laugh at it in context. How does Stallone just. Grab the snake. Give it an offended look. And then run off. It's still cracking me up when I'm writing this down (I'm easily amused).

Weirdly, getting into Invincible and finding the Cecil/Donald ship now very slightly fills the hole in my heart from the heartbreak of Gen V from the Polarity/Cipher-Doug ship.

Now, I really don't see the direct correlation between both besides a brief Boss/Co-worker dynamic, but the fact Doug gets brutally murdered after all that lack of control, and Donald also happens to get injured-killed, over and over again, but Donald "LIVES" makes me just a bit happier.
