I don't think I have any robot girls in Construct. Like, they exist in-universe, but they're all unnamed background characters. I should change that. Evie knows the names of every Construct made in her group's facility. Even if she personally didn't create them. She memorizes all their names in an effort to treat them like people. Lain is socially awkward and mostly just hangs around with her and some of the ally aliens. He's polite but he doesn't spend a ton of time with his Construct peers. I guess that was my justification for most of the other Constructs being background characters, since Lain is basically the view point character. In the visual novel thing, he's the playable character and the narrator.

I think I mentioned in my notes that Zero often uses some kinda enhanced sword to fight with the monstrous hostile aliens. (By Zero I mean my character from Construct, that game/visual novel concept I mention once in a while.)

The Constructs have built in weapons but Zero apparently thinks it's usually less exhausting to swing a big sword than it is to shoot the beasts with lasers or whatever Evie installed in him. Maybe it takes a moment for his beam to activate or aim or whatever. Apparently the blades of most claymores are a lot thinner than I thought. Tachi blades are kinda thin looking too. I dunno what exactly he's wielding, then.

It's supposed to be a two handed sword, proportionately long enough for a 6 ft tall man to use. The blade is straight, I think. It's probably made outta some material that the ally aliens developed. (I need some excuse to justify why it can cut through weird biomechanical kaiju monsters.)

Evie wanders off in the middle of the city. Part of their group is like, "She's a very nondescript human girl, it's gonna to be difficult to locate her."

Sai is like, "Excuse me, ma'am! You didn't happen to see a teenage girl about this tall, have you? Brown hair, probably kinda spacey expression. No? How bout a six foot tall albino guy wearing a long jacket with the taskforce logo? He was probably following said girl."

They find the duo within 10 minutes. Zero is kinda hard to miss, even in a crowd. He also follows Evie around like a puppy when they're outside the base. (In certain parts of the city, his concern is definitely warranted.)

Sai sometimes attracts attention 'cause of his eyes and his hair color too, but he's shorter and slimmer than Zero. It's easier for him to blend into a crowd if he's wearing a hoodie. The Constructs are partially human, but Sai was made by aliens. Not the invaders. His creator is from one of the groups that allied with the humans. Sai and his sort look a lot like the Constructs, even though the aliens don't resemble humans much. I dunno if that means they're genetically engineered human/alien hybrids andcyborgs or if the similarities are purely aesthetic. Or if it's more complicated than that.

I'm trying to figure out if the Constructs should be able to eat or not. I don't think they'd have to. They mostly like, photosynthesize. But in case they're underground or something and can't get exposed to sunlight for long periods of time, they need some sorta alternative energy source or backup plan. Hmm... Maybe they keep charged solar batteries on hand that they can drain for energy in an emergency? But... then again, they explicitly have some organic parts, like humans. Maybe the nanites inside em can convert the solar energy into something the organic tissue can use? That'd make up for the human cells not being able to photosynthesize naturally. Maybe they eat stuff in simple, broken down form once in a while? So something kinda like glucose tablets...
