Lucy’s nose was buried in her phone while she was walking down the street, music blaring in her ears. She hadn’t even noticed that she was about to come face to face with Damon Salvatore until she nearly bumped right into him, skidding to a stop right before they collided. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry,” she said, taking her headphones out, not realizing who it was at first, and then becoming nervous when she saw who it was.

Honestly, Rose couldn’t even process what she was hearing from the other girl, but she showed the girl a fake smile and then parted. That was when her heartbeat slowed down because she was no longer thinking about killing the poor girl. Walking toward her was someone she wanted to avoid for a while, but she had no other choice since she was walking in their direction. “Hello again, dearest parent,” she said with a fake smile.

A newborn vampire on a night like this was the last thing this town needed, but it was what they had. Rose was dripping in blood as if she swam in it, but truth be told, she had killed so many humans that it appeared like that. Eventually, her father could be seen in the distance so she ran to him. The vampire grinned from ear to ear once she reached his side. “Hi, Daddy,” she said with her innocent little smile. “Look at my accomplishments!” Rose looked over her shoulder as she pointed toward a trail of dead bodies. If someone was in a helicopter and flew right over that, they could see that the bodies formed her initials, R.S.
