HOLLAND RODEN AS LYDIA MARTIN IN TEEN WOLF (2011-2017)
7??
I started a new series The Education of Mason Hewitt which is designed to be 100 stories long. Each story connects to an episode.
In Second Chance at First Line (1x02), Scott senses blood at the Hale House and believe he found the other half of the murder victim he discovered in the woods, suspects this is proof that Derek is the killer. To be sure, he checks out the other half of the body. Since Stiles wanted to find the other half of the body, he tells Stiles, who verifies that they're doing this not only to get Derek out of Scott's life, but to bring a murderer to justice. They travel out to the Hale House, wait for Derek to leave and then they dig up the body. It turns out to be a wolf, and they are confused, until Stiles notices a wolf's bane plant, which he pulls up. It is connected to a rope (in which petals of wolf's bane have been interwoven) which has been arranged in a spiral around the grave and buried. When Stiles removes the rope, Laura transforms from a wolf corpse back into a human corpse.
There is no explanation given as to why or how this happens. This is not a plot hole. Neither Scott nor Stiles know enough about the Hale family or werewolf culture or supernatural practices to be able to divine how this was done or why it was done. The whole thing serves to freak them out, but it also serves to give us insight into Derek without coming out and telling us the conclusion we should draw. It also sets up the significance of the spiral, which is one of the many clues that should make the reveal of Peter as the alpha more satisfying. Even when you add how it shows Scott and Stiles working together, it's a good scene.
The production never gets around to explain details, frankly because it served its narrative purpose. However, in this story Mason and a reluctant Corey are learning about Emissaries, druidism, and the history and ethics of the supernatural, so this next story will be the three of them discussing where this practice came from, what it is supposed to mean, and why Derek chose to employ it.
I wanted to put my spin on it.
Teen Wolf fam I need your help!
I remember that Hoechlin once told us that in s1 ep 2 his pants were too tight so he couldn't walk down the stairs and had to jump instead
Anyone remember when he said that? Was it an interview? A panel?
Anyone has a clip of him saying that?
I would appreciate it so much of you'd share it with me!
"So I'm Central American/South American. And so [La Tunda] was someone that I found in my research and I was like, we have to do her. We have to; she's so cool. And I know that it was like really important to Robbie [Thompson] to find, um, non-American specific monsters, which was a really fun challenge of like, finding mythology outside of Catholicism and outside of American mythology." -Rachel Lynett
