He smiled at with a grin, showing perfect teeth. "It's okay. I like staring at you too. Lots to look at." Barnes said quietly, as he brought his beer up to his lips, gazing back into the blonde's blue eyes. "Gotta warn ya, though. I'm good with staring contests. Or so I am told." He smiled, fishing around in the bowl of popcorn, and stuffing his face with it. He had decided to put the first Rocky movie on it, although he had seen it many times before since coming out of cryosleep. He didn't want to bore Harley with too much of an action but the first two Rocky movies were a love story at heart, for a while. He continued to watch with her quietly, saying nothing, his hand finding itself on her legs that were rested over his lap, occasionally pulling up one of Harleys stockings a bit, biting his lip. Bucky's grin widened a bit more as he watched Burgess Meredith chew out Stallone for "fighting like a god damn ape" and every opponent Rocky fought was a "bum" and Rocky was a "tomato and he was runnin' a gym and not a soup kitchen". It reminded him much of his youth and his own days as a fighter, and an old school coach who had taught him how to box, back in the wild west days of boxing in the 1930s, his way of dealing with poverty and an unhealthy home life.
"Was a boxer myself back in the day. Probably broke my nose once a fight." He smiled as he gazed at her, studying the woman with him as the movie played on, the girly pigtails that her hair was arrayed in, and ivory skin and the taut muscles in her slender neck. They hadn't done anything and watched the movie for an hour so far, at least yet. "You havin' a nice time tonight? Not been on a date in a long time. Been out of service a long ass time."
He liked her already, and she was more than just sexy and beautiful. They had alot in common, recovering from abusive pasts and had worked on the wrong side of the law, and maybe in another life, they would have been in the same group therapy session, driving the doctors crazy.
SHE BLUSHED with his comment, when she was busted. If there's something that she DESPISES most was the beer, which was breaking the climax a little. She has no problems with others alcoholics beverage, but beers trigger her in a way she hates. It brings out the bad childhood memories, so her gaze back at the television. Rocky wasn't exactly a kind of movie she was enjoying, but he seems having fun, so, she was following with the flow. Why not 'THE FIGHTING CLUB', if it is to keep on this 'boxing' subject. His wandering hands found it way on her lap, and then her stockings, and she put her hand on top of his.
Harley was hating this movie so far, and she wasn't able to say it out loud not yet. ❛ Frankly? I'm not enjoying this movie, I prefer The fight club. Also, this beer is making me think of bad stuff. I only have issues with beers, I don't really care about other types of alcoholic beverage. ❜ She confessed, and turned to him. ❛ And I haven't been in a date ferever. I guess, what I always thinks is like those romantics movies. ❜ She stated. In another words, she has no idea what is be in a date either. Of course, her idea of date is something fictional that she sees either in romantic books or movies.
