I was in an emotionally, physically, and sexually abusive relationship and this movie inspired me to pursue counseling and helped me a lot in dealing with my own experiences. I partially buzzed my head in homage of Toast and Furiosa. I chose Angharad's line 'We are never going back' because of her conviction that she and her sisters would never go back to Joe. Like them, I'm never going back to someone that hurts me. I wrote the quote on a letter from my abuser and I feel better than I have in years.

Model: Me, duh. Photographer: My sister. My contributions to the Mad Max: Fury Road Selfie day! Furiosa’s quote was written in nail polish on some envelopes. First shot was on a wall by old railroad tracks. Second shot was at the beach, and I cropped out the ocean so it would look more like a desert. Why envelopes? Because I wanted something asymmetrical that I could tear up, and the apocalypse means that paper is rare. WITNESS ME, BITCHES.

I kind of wish there was a MMFR poster like this. Either one for each Sister, or with all five in a group shot.

There’s a couple of things I wish I could change. But they are small things. The other 98% of the photo makes me SO HAPPY!!! THIS IS THE BEST COSPLAY PHOTO I’VE EVER TAKEN!!!
