So I am not on twitter but I was kinda on board on the AC sisterhood, just by name you know... But are you telling me a dude is the most prominent voice of this sisterhood? And they somehow think kassandra and eivar are not woman enough because they are unrealistic in the time period the game is taken place? Am I understanding this right? Anyway you are probably sick is discussing this but I am just 🤯 how? Anyway good on you for smacking that shit down! You are awesome!
So now the real reason I messaged you I noticed the control header and question I am easily scared but control is free for playstation plus peeps and I downloaded and installed and I definitely want to play it, how scary is it? I started the game and a random door opened at the start and I immediately noped out of the game. If you had to rank scare factor in this game, how would you rank it?
Thanks!
You can check my Cisterhood tag and a few Twitter threads (x, x, x). I know a lot of them start limiting their tweets so it may be hard to find the source. Basically yes to how you summarize it, but add how they say Kassandra and Eivor are men’s skins based on their appearances. You’ll need a microscope to find if they have narrative examples to back up their "criticisms”, instead of female appearances.
Control is in the “new weird” category, so like creepy Inception with something that possess humans. No crazy jump scares tho, you’ll always get alerted before enemies are coming with the map turning red. All doors automatically open in this game and iirc, no jump scares as soon as you open doors. The story is equally creepy weird and you get more lore as you pick up more documents and recordings scattered around the map. I’ve played RE3 Remake and TLOU (I & II), both a different kinda scare because they rely on jump scares while Control doesn’t. So I’d say Control is less scary, like 2/10 (The AWE DLC will be around 3-4), R3make would be 5, and TLOU would be 7-8. But please play Control! It’s definitely one of my fav game of all times with the Ashtray Maze section alone. The devs put a lot of love into this game. Also, Jesse is awesome! If you love Kassandra, chances are you’ll love Jesse too.
