I thoroughly wish twilight/tvd had shown the female as a normal high school student who wanted to live to the fullest. like imagine

• the guy being dragged to a football game (i know stefan was a football player but they never kept up with it. they let it go) and even though the guy didn’t want to be there they loved the fact that the girl was enjoying her humanity and laughing with her

• or going to a real teenage party and getting trashed and laughing all night while their girl stumbles and slurs because her tolerance is low

• real teenage makeouts. like on a couch or in a car and just leaning over for a quick soft kiss and then being enveloped in it and making out. hands in hair

• meeting her family and being all nervous that they might not like you, and having dinner and getting to know them

• just going on drives to clear your mind

• stopping at mcdonald’s or starbucks just to make them smile

• getting texts at 3 am asking if you still love them cause they’re insecure

• facetiming all night just because they miss you

• going to family holidays and giving them christmas presents while being absolutely terrified they won’t love it

• hanging out with her friends and feeling awkward at first cause you don’t know them, then slowly becoming more comfortable with them

• guys literally just hanging out with friends like why do vampire guys HAVE NO FRIENDS

• the guys literally doing more than spending time with their girls, like again WHY DO THEY ALWAYS HAVE NO FRIENDS YOUVE BEEN ALIVE OVER A 100 YEARS WHY DO YOU HAVE NONE

• holding their hands for the warmth

i just want more in depth teenage love stories with this shit
