Standing in the shade of the boreal titan Gwinifer glanced first at her phone, then up at canopy of the great tree. Should be enough time. Then a look to the leafy staircase before finally settling on Midna as she clutched her broom close.

“So you’re an active princess, I trust you’ll be all right with the walk? It’s quite a tall tree...”

They’ve been following this woman for a while now. Hiding behind corners quite obviously whenever she looks, until finally they give in, and with a childish giggle, they swiftly move from their latest hiding spot to dart towards her, arms spread as though their cloak is a pair of wings gliding behind them. “Bow to your god!” They say, their tone good natured and innocent as a child playing pretend would be...

SEXUALITY & GENDER HEADCANONS ( *ﾟ— @twilitimperium

oh absolutely. 

i think it’s fair to say i use personal experience to fuel my headcanons here as well as talking to friends who identify as genderfluid, thus i’ve got a pretty good idea of how his perception of himself and others definitely changed once he put a name to how they felt. 

i think finding that label for a lot of people can feel like relief, like the answer to a problem they had on their mind for years finally appeared. there was a sense of security for sephiroth, though not intensely so, for he knew it was something to develop and think about privately. having nobody to share his deep thoughts about this with, he was severely lacking in knowledge that didn’t come from the internet ( thus, real life experiences from others was slim ) and so felt still quite alone in his identity. 

but through talking, likely to genesis and angeal, he did understand that it was normal and acceptable, something which previously had been ambiguous due to his life in the military being so binary and rigid in most aspects. 

though he did not embrace his fluidity until really his ascension as a self-named god, as well as through his thoughts within the lifestream, his interest was there and it was through those online pieces of information that he began to see the world differently. it began to feel more liveable, more free than beyond the metaphorical bars SOLDIER had for him ( refer to my other post for details on this ). 

i have seen it develop in isola radiale a fair amount actually! his expression and comfort largely emulates through fashion, as well as pronoun use, having no worries in regards to dressing how he pleases in this new world. but the fact this is a new world is not the reason why, but rather the fact he is no longer serving anyone, he belongs to no-one but himself. 

he does not feel ashamed or embarrassed that he did not always express himself the way he wished, or that they did not understand the fluidity and scale of gender expression and feelings. he had been placed in quite a stereotypical masculine role since childhood, but that still did little to sway his early feelings of wanting to seem effortlessly beautiful and unreal. this feeling merely amplified then he embraced his otherwordliness, embracing the lack of humanity both in a moral fashion and a societal one.  

that is not to suggest that gender fluidity is alien or strange, but that he envisioned himself as above the strict roles of gender altogether and finally felt free enough to flow between whichever expression he felt most comfortable in. he has taken that label of genderfluidity and given it a meaning which is personal to him, reflective of his ascension and a part which can accept both his ethereal strength and his impossible, angelic beauty.

Evenly matched in a game that tested intelligence, Claude studied the chess board before him with a smile on his face. He hadn’t actually expected to find someone to play a game with, so colour him shocked when the woman he had met had offered to play a quick round with him.

After studying, Claude moves his piece - capturing one of hers in the process.

     “Midna, right? You don’t seem like you’re around here -      like me. Well, like a lot of people here, actually.”

But that’s not really what he was asking. He had wondered if she was considered an outsider in her world, as he was considered one in his.

For once, Gwinifer was feeling pretty upbeat about things. Yes the terror of being lost in a hedge maze for the rest of her life was extremely real, but on the bright side she absolutely loved the aesthetics of this place. This was far better than fighting anything after all and she was sure the pixies of the forest would see her as a kindred spirit, being fae had to count for something, right? Speaking of fae...

“You know, I don’t think I’ve ever asked, but did you know any fairies before coming here?”

“I don’t want to assume, but you’re like a magical princess, right?”

Upbeat enough for small talk as they walked through the maze, at least.

Why was her life like this?

Despite how much she’d complained, loudly, the first couple of months she’d spent in this city had actually been... Bearable. More than that; pleasant. Sure it was loud, sure plenty of the people were obnoxious. But there was also good people, people she actually enjoyed spending time with... Friends...

Yet now it was literally the apocalypse or something. Some outside force was trying to get them to turn on their hosts. Okay. But apparently that would just result in erasure. Okay. 

There was monsters. Actual monsters. Monsters so actual she’d braved the storm and fled her hiding space. Yet that wind was no joke, and now she was flying through the air. 

Why was her life like this?

Physical Features Meme

So let’s start with the hair itself.

Though she’s not really one to talk positively about herself, her hair is what she perceives to be her best feature and certainly the one she’s most proud of. It’s long, very long; reaching down to her ankles when it isn’t tied up or braided and down is how she most often wears it. 

It’s thick, soft, smooth and shiny; all around dream hair to be honest. She does take good care of it, but she’s one of those detestable people who’s blessed with naturally perfect hair. She tries to wash it around once a week, one because she’s found that to be a good balance for health and two because washing it is quite the ordeal. So long and thick is it that it requires her to go through an entire bottle of shampoo and conditioner each time.

Colour! She’s the vapour wave gal. Her hair is a mix of two very pastel toned colours, turquoise and pink at the tips, fading between the two. It’s mostly the former but each hair starts off pink when it grows before fading to turquoise and maintaining that colour for the rest of its growth. This is why here eyebrows are pink! If her hair was cut short it would appear entirely pink too. 

Following that, it does grow rather fast too, but only until it reaches the length its at now. She’s not really sure if can grow much longer because she usually trims the tips to prevent split ends and other breaks. If you know Gwinifer and spend any amount of time with her then yes; you absolutely are going to be finding her stray hairs all over the place.

The claaaaaaaw

So, this strange appendage grows out the back of her head, at a downward angle rather than out at 90 degrees. The tendril itself is very thin, no more than a couple of centimetres in diameter and appears far to sleight to support the claw at the end which would be around her thighs if it was just hanging down. Despite how frail it looks its actually stronger than either of her actual arms and though the claw only has three ‘fingers’ it is otherwise just as dexterous and capable as her other hands.

She could certainly use it to thrash a human within an inch of their life if she was so inclined, but the truth is she’s fairly embarrassed by its appearance. While a perfectly normal thing for her species, aside from her mother she’s the only Hatterene she’s known and assumes people will see it as something weird or strange. To this end she keeps it hidden in her hair almost all of the time. It’s why she doesn’t opt for many differing hair styles either, though occasionally she will braid her hair around the tendril, so the claw itself gives the appearance of some sort of hair ornament or accessory. 

Regardless of how she feels about it, the limb has a way of... Acting out. Not necessarily on its own though far more subconsciously than her other arms. If she’s conflicted about putting a hand on the shoulder of a friend who’s hurting, the claw is more likely to do it without a second thought. It does as its told, but it also does a little more, sometimes.
