So you dont like the fandom but write for the fandom and also have a vampire au of your own. Pretty contradictory to your comments made during the stream. Most of your followers are supercorps and follow you for your contribution to the fandom you know.

I didn’t say that I don’t like the fandom, I said that the fandom is having A Moment that I am not also having. Yes I wrote a vampire ficlet and I explicitly said at the time that I don’t really do the vampire thing so it was odd for me. Vampire content generally makes me uncomfortable and there is a lot of it going around right now so I haven’t been perusing as much Supercorp content and Katie content specifically. That’s not a moral condemnation of the fandom; it’s a comment about my personal level of engagement with what is popular right now. I am also allowed to have feelings about the way top/bottom dynamic has been written and characterized in the fics I’ve come across these last several months without rejecting the fandom as a whole. You can be critical of something or need time away from something and still enjoy/appreciate it and want to be a part of it. If I didn’t like the Supercorp fandom I wouldn’t be contributing to it. In fact, I wouldn’t have a Tumblr at all; Supercorp content is the only reason I keep one. I was just saying in the Discord earlier today that I could write and read about Lena and Kara forever and never run out of new angles to explore, and I love that about this fandom in particular. I continue to love that about the fandom when the overall mood of the fandom is not something that jives with me personally for a while. These things change like the weather; in a few months the fandom (or at least the segment of it I’m exposed to) will be on a different theme/trend and I’ll still be here. Finally I just want to say that playing the game and reading chat and articulating a complex thought and drinking a beer at the same time is still a lot for my dumb butt so like. If I say something that upsets you, maybe ask for clarification in chat instead of sending me grumpy anons on Tumblr. I feel like it would have been a lot easier to say “wait you hate Supercorps???” and I could have corrected whatever I said to give you that impression in the moment. You do you tho.
