Welcome to the Kamikakushi dorm, a dorm twisted from the Ghibli movie Spirited Away. Prerequisite of joining the dorm includes having your name stolen by the dorm head and being given a fake name for the duration of your time at NRC.

Shuu is the third year dorm head, twisted from Yubaba from Spirited Away. He is very conceited; He believes he is always right and he values status/reputation over anything else. He’s very booksmart and is a straight A student, excelling in all of his classes with flying colours. Shuu is also very judgmental and can be rude/mean to students that don’t live up to his standards. His ego and smugness give him the impression that everyone likes him/looks up to him. He gave his fake name Shuu to himself as a play on the word ‘shunin’ which means ‘person in charge’. 

Ru is the second year vice dorm head, twisted from the river spirit. He is very flamboyant, free-spirited and energetic. He’s sickeningly happy all the time and obsesses over cute things. He often decorates the Kamikakushi dorm with cutesy decorations, much to the others dismay. Ru likes to make everything a game and will often ask people to solve his riddles in exchange for something. However, he isn’t that clever so the riddles are usually pretty easy to solve. His fake name Ru is taken from the last character of his name. He insists people call him Ruru because it’s cuter, but seldom people do. 

Mori is a third year student, twisted from the monster No Face. Due to his somewhat unapproachable appearance, Mori has always had trouble making friends and is often very lonely. He’s very socially awkward, resulting in most of his attempts to make friends coming off as creepy or with ill intentions. Mori is very affectionate in reality, being somewhat of a gentle giant. He’s soft-spoken, friendly, and is always thinking of ways he can make people happy. He often has a morbid sense of humour, but it’s all with the best intentions. He dislikes fighting/confrontation and prefers to use his magic to perform magic tricks to make people smile. His fake name Mori was given to him as a play on the Japanese word ‘hikikomori’, which means ‘shut-in’ or ‘recluse’.

San is a first year student, twisted from the kashira. He is a very quiet boy and hardly ever speaks, only speaking when spoken too. He tends to migrate towards the back of the crowd and prefers going unnoticed. He’s very insecure because of his third eyes, and even though he covers it with his bangs, he’s still very afraid that people will see it. He’s very logical and prefers things like chemistry and biology to magical practices. His fake name San comes from the Japanese word for ‘three’.
