RATING ALAN GRATZ BOOKS WITH MINIMAL EXPLANATION (tw: MY OPINION AND EXPERIENCES)
Refugee - 10/10, I was the most invested in this one. Great characters, great story, and a w for Alan Gratz for adding resources to help irl refugees in the authors note (in my copy, at least.)
Projekt 1065 - 9/10, Micheal O'Shaunessey was extremely complex, which is absolutely amazing! This would be way to long if I went more in depth about him. Simon was really funny and made me laugh alot.
Ground Zero - 7/10, I had to write an essay about this book and I really hate essays. Also, Reshmina was a character I got really connected to. Wish that people cared for her like they do Brandon/Taz. It would be great if my classmates didn't see her as just "aggressive" too
Allies - 5/10, wasn't my favorite. It was the first Alan Gratz books that I read on my own, so yay.
Two Degrees-8/10, I'm currently reading this one lol. I didn't like the beginning but then it got really interesting. Akira and Owen are rlly cool. Also, W George for saying "That's pretty good thinking for a white boy"
War games - 9/10, this is one of Alan Gratz's best, in my opinion. Would have been a 10/10 if Monday had better build up. Also, the only canonical gay character (or at least I think only. Correct me if I'm wrong), Karl, in Alan's books is here!
Code of Honor - 7/10, the book was spoiled for me so whoopsie! The concept of using codes is creative as hell. Jimmy rlly pmo though
Grenade - 11/10, holy crap. Saying the book is "good" is an understatement. Neither Ray or Hideki deserved anything that happened to them. Hideki had some of the greatest development I have ever read about. READ IT.
Heroes - 7.5/10, wonderful just not my favorite. Frank is a writer and that just makes me love him even more. Idc if it's biased. We both think of the worst things to happen to our characters!
