It had been a little while since he had had his strange and standoffish visitor to his shop. Every now and then Yugi couldn't help think about him, hoping that wherever he was, he was doing okay. That he had made it to the water, for whatever reason he needed to, just fine. Thankfully the temperature was cooling off, so hopefully he hadn't needed to find shelter anywhere else in his travels.
He fell back into his daily routines, nothing else interesting or out of the ordinary happening as he did so. The usual customers wanting the usual things, not that he minded. It was the calm, quiet and mundaneness of this life that drew him in and away from the hustle and bustle of royal life and nobles. Just being an average person, a small fish in a big pond, easily forgettable.
He liked that.
After a while, however, he did need a change of scenery so when he had the next day off, he decided to go wandering. Since the coast had come up with the stranger, he had realized it had been a minute since he had gone there himself. Sometimes he liked to find pretty shells that washed up or stare at the little ecosystems in the tide pools. They were fascinating, different and new to a being of air and earth like himself.
Humming a soft tune to himself as he walked along the coastline, he hopped delicately and graceful from stone to stone, looking for the little pools.
