Leisure Day
Thea watched silently as he battled the machine without any real rhythm for it. He seemed to fluster at noticing her and his already questionable performance collapsed into complete failure within moments. “You know you could come to my rescue if you desire to,- I will feel no shame in it. If I had to guess you are likely better at this sort of thing than I am.”
“Actually I thought maybe we could talk.” Thea mumbled softly.
“I see,” He replied, clearly attempting to suppress a wicked victory smile, “Well your arrival is definitely a welcome interruption. I am clearly not adept at this.”
It was mid-afternoon before Thea had finished the tasks she had set for her first day off. In truth she had spent more time inside than she had planned to but was grateful to have that work behind her. It did have to get done one way or another and she was glad to be done tripping over the lingering reminders of her recent move.
Contented with the state of things she decided a walk would suit her soul well. Perhaps clear the nagging thoughts from earlier still plaguing her mind. She had started to worry a bit, it seemed unlikely to her that Asher’s family would just let him to walk away. There were a number of responsibilities that he was expected to take up as he aged and she was sure his brother would not be up to the task. Levi, in a word, was a prick.
It was that point that had stuck in her thoughts a bit too long and before she left the house she had decided it was time to hear him out. Lucky she always found him easily, his energy signal wasn’t like anything else on the island, it wasn’t like anything else in the universe.
Still a danter. :P
