My arm tucked underneath yours
The love that almost didn’t last until we both realized our faults
Birds singing duets on the power lines
But the power that still lies in us
The sun shining through the window curtains
But the light that still shines in us
Self medicating with the bottle the night before realizing that we can medicate with each others love instead.
The hungover shaking hands that graze each others bodies realizing that our love is no longer shaky.
