Tyler Wheeland Brooklyn, New York
A few months ago Tyler called me and said he was interested in getting back into scootering. After his Hella Grip part I thought that I would never see him on a scooter again. I told him nothing had changed, people ride scooters and film, and to meet me in New York in March. To see Tyler determined to ride and enjoying it again is surreal.

I felt out of control shooting this photo. I was riding a Harley Sportster 1200 with forward controls and a wind shield. It was Tyler’s Dad’s bike and it definitely showed. I did my best to catch up with Tyler riding one handed and snap some photos.

D.T.D.F. is a motorcycle gang composed of professional freestyle scooter riders, but more importantly, it is a group of friends that are able to share memorable life experiences connected by their passions.
I am proud to announce after two years of work, the D.T.D.F. series is complete. The entire series is available to view on my website. I will be posting photos that didn't make the final edit frequently on here.

When I first started shooting portraits for the book I had people standing up. I realized I didn't like it so I had them sit down. I continued on from there but these photos will never be used for anything. Enjoy the out takes of the final product.
