As for the tapes, they'll remain the same release. I'll record a message over them.

Hi there! Me and a friend have recently been digging deep into an extremely old beta of Tonic Trouble (specifically the 1997 beta which can be seem in only a small handfull of trailers). My friend came across your post on the Rayman Pirate Community forums where you mentioned that you got your hands on a weird disc that holds a beta of Tonic Trouble, which you claimed was from 1997. Do you happen to still have that disc, or is it long gone?
Hello, thanks for reaching out! Yes, I still have that disc, and I haven't thought about it in a long time. Looking into it today, it seems to be a standard UK release of an early build of the game, stored in an unusual case. While the disc has "1997" printed on it, the most recent date on the disc's files are for the 16th Febuary 1998. I'm not that familiar with the different variants fo Tonic Trouble, but I would guess that might make it version 8.5.2? I'm sorry I can't be 100% certain.
Let me know if I can help anymore. If you know a sure-fire way of verifying the build version, I'd be very interested in knowing. I also don't mind ripping the contents on the disc if you still believe this to be an unusual build.
