Stiles is overworked and stressed out when his flight home gets delayed due to copious amounts of snow. He finds entertainment with one Derek Hale, whom he hasn't seen since high school but really doesn't mind getting reacquainted with.

Especially when it turns out Derek is surprisingly hilarious and will reluctantly play snap with him. And can walk on his hands.

Review: This was so fun! Very much a romp through various romcom tropes, it begins with silliness, escalates to sexiness, and finishes with home and heart, all while maintaining a tone of charming ridiculousness. I do love when fics own their own indulgences, and this fic does that in skillful spades.

It would be awesome if there were some way to get her to lay off on the topic, to be able to say “hey, look Gran, I’m not a total failure at human contact!” Ha, the easiest thing to do would be to find someone for just the next few weeks, but it’s not like you can just walk up to someone and -

The one where Stiles's grandmother comes to town, Danny agrees to be Stiles's fake boyfriend, Scott is annoyingly insightful, and there are vampires.

Review: Unconventional and found families ringing around a fake dating plot, oh my! As you can imagine, I was charmed and enthralled, and rightly so, because this fic was really great.

In which an argument about Dickens leads to a Twitter scandal, broken bones, midnight conversations, and transatlantic longing.

(Or, an AU with Arthur and Merlin as moderately famous authors.)

Summary: In which Merlin and Arthur are famous authors whose first meeting is (very publicly) contentious and whose subsequent meetings continue to be contentious, but in ever more private and affectionate ways.

Review: Literary people arguing about literary things~~~~, but there's a really solid amount of heart in the middle of all the wonderful banter.

Enjolras brings him lunch on the fourth day. It's much nicer than the previous meals and includes beer. "Ooh, I know this," Grantaire says excitedly. "This is Stockholm Syndrome!" Someone outside the room starts laughing. Enjolras turns a very satisfactory and extremely stunning shade of red, turns on his heel, and leaves. Grantaire calls after him, "not that I needed Stockholm Syndrome! Can I have your number?"

LES MISERABLES: "Scenes From An Inconvenient Espionage Love Story" by lanna michaels

Grantaire's type is smart, gorgeous, and bad for him.

Summary: In which Grantaire is a spy who gets made and held prisoner by a disturbingly affable group of elite hacktivists.

Review: I'm not a Bond fan, but that had zero bearing on my IMMENSE enjoyment of this delightfully irreverent fic.

The One Where they meet waiting for on a train. For this prompt at the kink_meme and its super-adorable art fill.

Summary: In which they bond during their morning subway commutes over the New York Times and its crosswords and how surprisingly easy it is for them to fall into domestic routines together.

Review: Adorable kind of doesn't cover this, but delightful fills in most of the gaps. It's just a great little fic that I often return to when I want to walk away smiling.

Other notes: Podfic! Inception podfic can often cause a bit of cognitive dissonance because of Arthur and Eames' very different accents, but this American recorder pulls off Eames flawlessly with only small, extraordinarily on-point shifts of emphasis and cadence. It's kind of awesome.

In which Arthur goes on blind dates, Merlin is his waiter, and everyone takes a ride on the crazy train.

Summary: In which Arthur is forced into a string of truly heinous blind dates, and opts instead to fall for his waiter-cum-incidental-medic-and-bodyguard, Merlin.

Review: The blind dates here were so funny I literally could not breathe for laughing at some points. I would have gladly let them go on for eternity, except that Arthur finally properly wooing Merlin was adorable, and them discovering their own brand of crazy in the epilogue doubly so. Thus, I reluctantly allow that the rest of this fic also exists, and is awesome, too.

This work picks up after 2.22 "New York" and departs from canon after that. The members of New Directions are entering their senior year with a major shake-up at the beginning: Mr. Schuester accepted a role on Broadway over the summer and Ms. Pillsbury is taking over. What follows is a year where the seniors are all set to change the world, or at least change themselves.

Review: Basically, after one chapter of this fic I'm ready to toss all of S3 and adopt this as my one true headcanon with no regrets. Great character dynamics and plot developments. You can see where the author's purposefully steering away from some of this shittier things that happened during the season, and that's both a relief and a source of excitement for me. I can't wait to see what S3 will look like with someone sane at the helm. More more more!

Finn Hudson and Cooper Anderson are possibly not the most unselfish best men in the world.

Summary: In which Finn and Cooper get into a bit of a best man competition, but luckily Kurt and Blaine still manage to have the best wedding ever despite their "best" efforts.
