I wouldn't have survived the past
I'm so grateful that I was born in a world with internet and plumbing and fanfiction cause there is no way my ass would have survived the past. Or even fictional anime stuff, nah, I ain't interested. I rather read it than live it thank you very much. The amount of fanfiction I consume on a daily basis surpasses the recommended amount of the average human. I would be too bored and end up writing my own stories instead of read other people.

You know what’s funny.. The past two days, I have been complimented on my new hairstyle and I’ve also had my run in’s with the comments that most girls with very short hair face. But, through it all, one comment has stuck to me. I remember it so clearly and I wish I would have gotten his name and just gave him big hug.
He said, “I love your hair but don’t think that the compliments or complaints of others should be what makes you happy. Be you and do what you want. You’re fabulous either way.”
I really really wish I could hug this kid. He was so sweet and genuine that I wanted to cry once I started thinking about it again. But it also showed me that even others want you to know that you’re not here to please others. You have to be happy with yourself before anyone else. I know this sounds like the typical “Love yourself before anyone else” post and I really don’t care. I just want people to know that it’s true. You need to be happy with yourself and do what makes you feel complete.
