            𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄   𝐈𝐒   𝐀   𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐘   𝐖𝐄𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓   𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄  ,      something   that   sits   on   his   chest   uncomfortably  ,     and   makes   him   wonder   just   what   it   is   that   has   come   between   them .      a   differing   of   thought  ,     most   likely  ,     loyalties   are   placed   where   loyalties   lie .     gwaine   may   not   know   the   full   extent   of   plans  ,      but   he   may   well   know   just   how   far   mordred   would   go   for   those   he   cares   about .       𝐅𝐎𝐑   𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐃   𝐀𝐍𝐃   𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍 .     he   lowers   his   eyes   a   moment   as   he   threads   lace   through   his   gauntlet  ,     tying   it   tight   to   his   wrist   so   that   it   will   not   loose   during   battle .

pleasure ,     for   a   springtime   queen ;     she   takes   the   dagger   in   both   hands ,     glancing   only   once   up   at   the   knight ,     as   if   to   ask   permission .     the   last   gift   she’d   been   given   had   been   a   dagger ,     from   her   father .     a   silly   thing ,     barely   larger   than   a   needle ,     inlaid   with   rubies   that   had   gleamed   so   prettily   in   the   light .     a   strange   wedding   present ,     but   one   she’d   kept   well   tended   and   well   loved .     it   makes   her   think   of   those   days .     before   the   crown ,     before   camelot ,     before   everything ,     when   the   weight   on   her   shoulders   hadn’t   been   so   heavy .

a   dove   of   peace ,     covered   in   ash   now .     the   white   down   of   her   wings   has   turned   to   ash .

‘     thank   you ,     sir   gwaine .     ‘     greedily ,     her   hands   take ;     fingers   suited   to   the   weaponry ,     even   if   it’s   a   secret   she   will   take   to   her   grave .     she   doesn’t   have   it   in   her   to   kill .
