Y'know.... The writers really didn't have to do all that. Making ubercorn and glitch old friends.

They could have very easily written them off as long time rivals, who are still rivals, and everything would have been easily accepted by all parties. And I wouldn't have to be completely driven mad by these two and the story between them that we didn't get to witness.

But they ARE. they ARE old friends. Despite everyone constantly pitting the two against each other in class, despite the constant comparison whenever they hung out together, despite THE STARS ALIGNING PERFECTLY just to put the two in circumstances where they could have very easily hated each other, been against each other, rivaled each other, and be very much NOT FRIENDS..... They WERE. It took. STRENGTH and COURAGE for the two of them to stay friends, to stay close with each other.

They had to persist together to keep their friendship alive, even though everyone around them perceived the two as night and day, the embodiment of light and the dark blackhole of wasted potential, a good example and a bad one.... They held onto each other so strongly.

Everytime they had to choose a partner for the end of semester geo-challenges, they would immediately turn to the other. They had a special little clubhouse, in a crawlspace. Just for the two of them. Hidden away from the judgemental eye. The amount of memories that the two constantly reminisce over, only further proving just how special their relationship really was.

Everything was against them, and yet for so long they kept going, and going...

So what tore them apart? What event could be so impossibly cruel and unfortunate, that it broke this bond, this trust, that they had spent so long strengthening?

IT DRIVES ME SO FUCKING MAD KNOWING WE WILL NEVER KNOW THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION.

Introducing... My personal design of Ubercorn! And a bit of Grandmaster Glitch!!!!!!

These two are some of my favorite characters, every episode that focuses on either one of them or even both of them at the same time makes me so happy <333

I'll probably dump even more of my go jetter sketches I've created over the past few weeks soon!!!!!! Trust me. I've got wayyyy more.

Aaaand Grandmaster Glitch enters the fray!!!! HE IS THE SILLIEST GUY EVER AND HE HAD AN EMO PHASE well no, he wasn't an emo but he was definitely seen as an outsider and looked down upon.

Why? Maybe it has something to do with how the rest of his family are all well accomplished, successful and famous people and no matter what he does he can't live up to that-

Anyway HE HAS A MUSTACHE TATTOO CUZ LET'S FACE IT HE TOTALLY WOULD UNDER THAT WEIRD METAL SUIT THING. Also he wears t-shirts with ripped sleeves cuz I say so.

Fun fact! His two big puffs of hair is sort of supposed to emulate his big metal horn things.

Anyway, when he and Ubercorn were in the academy together, Ubercorn was the most popular kid in school. He has style, he's the most talented, and he has incredible dance moves, you get the jist. But most importantly, with a personality like HIS, he's extremely easy to like. Something Glitch isn't.

So while Ubercorn seems to be set for life with popularity and talent like his, no one has any hope for Glitch. Why would they? Other than his skill in robotics there's not much going for him. At least that was the impression most people had of him. But not Ubercorn. He felt bad seeing Glitch be treated like dirt by everyone, and he felt that if he didn't do anything about it he's just part of the problem.

And so Ubercorn befriended Glitch. And it wasnt easy. Glitch didn't like Ubercorn at all, he thought he was far too perfect to be a real person with depth, and that he was the most palatable figure he's ever seen, and that was enough for him to start disliking him. Then again he didn't like most people in the academy with the way they treat him.

But nonetheless, Ubercorn was determined to be friends with Glitch. No ulterior motive, he just wanted to make Glitch less lonely. he started by offering a bit of an extra hand for Glitch's robotics projects, then they started hanging out at lunch, and then they started hanging out and talking with each other even if there was no real reason to. Aaaaaaand if I said Ubercorn after finding out so much about the weird kid people tell him not to get close with, and. Getting close to him, he starts having feelings for him, would you believe me.

Then again this is just my interpretation of them!!! Eventually their entire friendship goes down the drain because of Ubercorn but I'm not gonna elaborate that right now, maybe I will if someone asks me to

I wish to know more uberglitch lore 👀

Aha! So you would like to hear more Uberglitch lore, my friend? WELL I'LL BE DELIGHTED TO FILL YOU IN WITH SOME FUNKY ANGST!!!!!

An idea that I got from brainstorming with my sister, came from a question, why would glitch specifically have a grudge against go jet academy? And we settled with the answer that he had a double standard over him, because of his family, and the great expectations that come with that family.

And it seems like everyone in the go jet academy, including most students and teachers, were against glitch. They wanted him to fit the perfect picture of a Glitch family member, and glitch just isn't that. No matter how hard he tried. It was all in vain for him, he would never be good enough for any of them.

And so came a growing resentment and a healthy dose of spite against anyone who saw him as just a part of the glitch family tree, and not as his own person. Which means most people. And the go jet academy itself.

Before he realized the double standard people put on him was really unfair and stupid, he was still willing to become a go jetter for the sake of his family's wishes for him. But now, he could care less if he became a real go jetter or not. He was ALL ABOUT THAT SPITE!!!!! and he couldn't wait to get out of this hell hole.

But there was something, or perhaps someone, he would end up missing from the go jet academy, and that's Ubercorn. He made life in the go jet academy bearable.

Ubercorn for a while now has been talking with Glitch about the unfair treatment Glitch has to go through. And he tells Glitch he'll do something about it, but Glitch always lazily answers that it's futile.

But after another one of these conversations... Something changed with the way Ubercorn spends his time with Glitch.

Back then they could sit in a room in complete silence, comfortably keeping each other company, doing their own things. Back then they would have the most ridiculous conversations about anything that passes their minds. And most importantly... When talking with Ubercorn, it made Glitch feel appreciated as his own person, and not just as a member of a bigger shittier and more famous family.

But then one random day things started to get shaky between them, and Glitch knew it was because of Ubercorn.

All Ubercorn talked about to Glitch was about school. And classes. And good habits Glitch could take up. And if that wasn't all he talked about and were just a small portion of their conversations, Glitch wouldn't be so annoyed. BUT IT WAS.

When Ubercorn came to hang out with Glitch, it's to suggest new routines and schedules Glitch could take up to be a better student. All they talked about during lunch was about how Glitch should sacrifice his precious time perfecting his prototype robots, and instead use his time for something more "productive".

Ubercorn told him he had so much potential. And that he should try harder.

Was he listening to himself?! Did any of their long thorough conversations about how much Glitch loathes the academy and all of its stupid teachers and classes mean anything to him?!

Doesn't he realize what he's doing?! He's becoming just like everyone else. Glitch thought he accepted him for what he is. But now he just wants Glitch to be like everyone else.

He thinks he isn't good enough. Doesn't he.

Eventually Glitch grumbles and avoids Ubercorn everytime they meet eyes in the hallways. They treat each other as if the other doesn't exist. THEY FULL ON DIVORCED.

Now. I'll answer the question you might be thinking.

What changed in Ubercorn that made him say and do all these things? Well it's simple, he was influenced be someone.

When Ubercorn said he'll do something about Glitch's treatment... He went up to talk to The Headmaster of go jet academy. The current headmaster back then. (I plan on making an oc out of them hehehehe)

Ubercorn was very friendly with all the teachers in go jet academy, so it makes sense he was able to get a hold of the Headmaster themself.

Ubercorn came and calmly complained about the way Glitch was being treated by the student body and the faculty, and this bitch, the Headmaster explains to Ubercorn that the reason everyone treats Glitch like shit... Is cuz they want to motivate him to be a better student! Wow! How gracious! And kind!

Of course Ubercorn doesn't take this kindly. He told the Headmaster that he'll prove to them that Glitch can fulfill all of his potential WITHOUT being manipulated and treated horribly. And he storms out of the office. And that's where Ubercorn's conquest of trying his hardest to convince Glitch to be a better student in the most kindest and softest way possible started. Of course it didn't work.

Because Ubercorn is a big people pleaser (and that's something coded into him), his first instinct seeing a big establishment mistreat his friend, is by having that friend change himself to please the establishment.

He really thought Glitch needed to prove himself worthy of human decency. Just like everyone else, even if he didn't realize that was what he was doing.

It's really fucking horrible with what happened to them.

They don't speak for ages... And months...

And even after all the shitty things Ubercorn did to make Glitch feel horrible about himself, there's a big part of Glitch that hopes Ubercorn will come to him, and say sorry, and explain why tf he said all the things he did. Please just make all this make sense... But that day never came. And probably will never come, Glitch thought. He concluded that when the day came, where news broke out throughout the academy,

That Ubercorn is an actual Go Jetter cadet now.

That was what completely tipped Glitch off the edge. Ubercorn had actually betrayed him, and that hurt him more than anything had before.

It hurt that after all the time Glitch gave him to explain himself, he didn't even try. He let him go, drowning in a pit of despair and missed opportunities. And after he made Glitch feel so important and special and worthwhile, it turns out he wasn't that important or special or worthwhile to him at all.

Glitch's anger broke out and he ran straight into Ubercorn, grabbed him by his new jumpsuit's collar, and shouted many, many things. Dripping in that spite that powers him more than anything.

The fight seemed completely alien to everyone else. they had no idea why it was happening. Why anyone would have anything against Ubercorn. But right now, they just see the failure of a Glitch, and they were disgusted.

Eventually Glitch was pulled away from Ubercorn, and everyone once again paid complete attention to Ubercorn's well being, but no one would even realize soon enough if Glitch just disappeared...

If he just... Disappeared.

Disappear.

Ubercorn's head was spinning in confusion, and the crowd surrounding him didn't help with how overwhelmed he was. But through the crowd he watches Glitch run away in panic. As if he didn't entirely know what came over him.

And that was the last time they see each other before many years later, when Ubercorn is with his Go Jetter team in a jetpad on duty... And he sees a giant rickety newly wielded together metal aircraft with a big mustache on it of all things.
