From far away, I’ve always thought the merced campus looks like some kind of ship in the middle of a huge ocean, you can kind of see that in this photo.

Believe it or not, there is a sequoia tree on the Merced Campus! Though it may look like its neighbors, it can be identified by its layered and more rounded leaves. It also has softer and spongier bark.
