happy birthday to ueki-loid(vocaloid 3) !!!!!!!!! [jul 24]
Ueki-loid is a japanese synth licensed to Music Airport Inc., and announced in 2011. he was never publicly released and exists as a private vocaloid. he is voiced by the late Ueki Hitoshi, though Ueki Hitoshi's eldest son(Hiro Kouichi)'s voice was also used. ueki-loid's creation was commissioned by ueki hitoshi's family. an album featuring ueki-loid was supposed to be released, but never was. ueki-loid is the first synth of "Legend of VOCALOID", which is a collection of synths voiced by deceased singers. the vocaloid hide (voiced by Hideto Matsumoto) is also a part of legend of vocaloid, and im pretty sure there are no other. from the vocalsynth fandom wiki- "The voicebank was developed as follows: First, they made a voicebank from the voice of Hiro Kouichi (surname first), the eldest son of Ueki Hitoshi. Then, by a certain mathematical method, they constructed a transformation function which represented the difference in voice between the two people. Finally, they applied the function to the voicebank."

Uekiloid Video Revives Hitoshi Ueki's Music Career After Death
"New Vocaloid package is first to synthesize deceased person's voice; CD planned for this summer"
"A video of "Uekiloid," a synthesized voice software package of the Japanese actor, singer, and comedian Hitoshi Ueki created using the Vocaloid software, was revealed at the "Cho-Techno School" area of last weekend's Nico Nico Chōkaigi event. Ueki, who received Japans Medal with Purple Ribbon honor in 1993 and the 4th Class Order of the Rising Sun in 1999, died in 2007 at the age of 80. Uekiloid marks the first usage of the Vocaloid voice synthesis software to recreate a deceased person's voice.
At the event, composer Hideki Matsutake revealed a video featuring a 3D CG rendition of Ueki voiced by the Uekiloid software. It was also announced during the event that there are plans to release a CD of Uekiloid music this summer."
...VOCALOID recreated a deceased man's voice. That's just mind blowing...
Just think of the think of what else this could do. Singers who have passed away could in a sense be brought back! O.O
Sure,a name or 2 pops up that I kind of wish could be used for this technology if they can use it,but just think. ANY singer could come back....
