Now let's go on to the huge news that was announced
All I can say is HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYYY SSHHHIIIIITTTTTTTTT. That's right ladies and gentlemen if you were watching the fights or even if you've actually been out from under your rocks you will know that the man, the myth, the total fucking legend CM Punk is joining the UFC. Wow. Wow. I'm actually stunned. Again Dana White I applaud you for being the worlds biggest troll. According to Punk, this deal was signed in October once Punk was free and clear of anything related to the WWE. I am a HUGE fan of CM Punks but that does not mean I have my doubts. The guy has an 0-0 record. No previous MMA experience. At all. He does however have a background in Kempo and trains regularly with BJJ masters Rener and Ryron Gracie so this could go in his favour. Vince has got to be PIIIISSSSEDDD! You know Dana is seeing dollar signs in Punk coming over to the UFC. Already the comparisons to the Minnesota Mauler, the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar. "You're a fake wrestler guy blah blah". Let's not forget that Brock became the champion and that was while he was suffering from a life threatening disease. Punk is banged up from his WWE days but at the Media Scrum he said that he feels better than ever so I guess we'll have to take his word for it. When the mystical all seeing, all knowing, mad genius Joe Rogan addressed which weight class the Second City Saint would be fighting in he replied that he'd be fighting Middleweight (185lbs for you n00bies) but said that he will be doing a trial weight cut and does not rule out the option of fighting out of the Welterweight division (170lbs). Win, lose or draw I'm really looking forward to seeing Punk fight. Maybe a superfight is on the horizon between him and Brock? Could JR and Paul Heyman replace Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg on commentary? Highly, HIGHLY doubtful but it would be awesome nonetheless.
