Christian Uflacker was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and holds a Second Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt practitioner and mixed martial artist. After achieving his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under the legendary Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Master, Carlos Gracie Jr., he continued his work beyond a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner and competitor, and into a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teacher. Currently, Christian resides in Chicago, Illinois, where he is the head instructor of Uflacker Academy. Beyond a teacher and practitioner, Christian Uflacker is a born competitor. Christian Uflacker has achieved many victories beyond the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu realm, into the world of Mixed Martial Arts.
