Poor jayce man. He had to deal with the attacks on Piltover, politics, and his back injury but what was he most worried about? Viktor. He spent days trying to get Viktor back to him, checking on, making sure he was alive, worrying about him. He had no way of knowing if he was still even there or if he was okay. The only thing I could touch was his face. That's such a scary situation. Not only was his best friend on the verge of death but he had no way of knowing what was going on and the square thingy was openly hostile so there wasn't much he could do.
He probably spent every night in the lab. Couldn't even sleep. He probably only left when he absolutely had to and then he immediately came back. I wonder if he just looked at him with silence or if he tried to talk to him. I wonder if he looked for a sign. Did he cry? Did he ever actually break down?
