nah, i used to make my own kombucha (all you need is a SCOBY–similar to the mother in ACV–and some tea and sugar. as longtas you keep your tools, surfaces, hands, and ingredients clean, it’s all safe. Or at least, I never got sick, haha.

Apparently getting sick from them is a common enough thing doctors warn people who make it for health food reasons that there are more recorded cases of people being killed by it than having anything cured

It’s still not common, just happens a lot more often than it cures anyone’s AIDS/cancer/diabetes/grey hair/ennui/whatever
