I just filled in a banking/cheque book. Banking in the UK is so old fashioned!

Yesterday I went out to the King's Wood in Winscombe for a little trail walk, and found it to be a perfect place for running while only being a 10 min drive from home! So today, I finally put on my new trail shoes and went out for a great run through the woods and over the Strawberry Line. The Strawberry Line used to be a train line from 1850 up to somewhere in the 1960s and nowadays they're making one long path through nature for cyclists and walkers which connects several villages in Somerset. What you see on the picture is the Shute Shelve tunnel, which is quite a long tunnel where the train used to drive through. The tunnel is made out of limestone and apparently one side of the tunnel is made out of soft limestone, while the other half is made out of hard limestone! The tunnel was completely dark and only lit by some small spots on the road (as all roads are in England) so it was quite a thrill to run through it as you could barely see the floor! The King's Wood had many different paths so I'll definitely go out there in the weekends for running :)
Today I went to the Cheddar Gorge, and it was amazing - real, proper mountains and super steep slopes. I went out for a little hike, and the view was unrealistic. It was also good to go out and drive my car again, I’m getting a bit more familiar on the road and I’m pretty stoked to go out for a trip again next week!
I'm sleeping in a stranger's house in the middle of nowhere in Wales
But it's really not as bad as it sounds! Today John and I travelled all the way up to the far-away Wales (beautiful country it is!) to attend a clinic from Lucinda Fredericks. Lucinda is an olympic eventing rider who's ambassador of Pure Feed and also in general just a good friend of John and Lou. Quite amazing to have met her! So we went to Wales, surprised Lucinda as she didn't know John would be there today, i had a great time watching her clinics and making quite a lot of photos and now we're at a friends place where we had a lovely evening and tomorrow we'll drive back to England! Great experience this day :)
Demo day
Yesterday I joined Lou to an open day/demo day of a barn near Bath. Lou was going to give a short talk about equine nutrition, body condition scoring and present the food. Besides Lou there was a vet and a saddle fitter and the riders and instructors of the barn gave several demos. It was an interesting day, met some people, and enjoyed visiting the barn!
Today the working week has started again, and Steph - one of my ‘colleagues’ explained me very quickly about the feed and how she is creating the diet plans - which will become my main task over time.
